I always LOVE the MFT sketches and this is a fab one too...one to use again for sure! Now, did you notice anything new or different about this card. Well, I am super proud of myself because.....I SEWED....yup, real sewing not stamped on sewing or faux sewing but real, big girl, machine sewing....Whoo hoo!!! Now, after I've said all that please don't look too closely because it is quite badly done and VERY wonky! I have a very old clunker of a sewing machine that is temperamental and I'm not very good at sewing but I am still proud of myself for making the effort even if it took me a good part of a day to figure out how to do it....and then to redo it, lol! I took the old clunker in to get oiled and cleaned and to get it back in working condition. Apparently, it has almost no tension (whatever that means). So I am looking forward to getting it back and seeing if that helps with my sewing or not.
So, for my card I used this adorable Pure Innocence Sweet Greetings girl. I coloured her with my Copics and paper pieced her out fit. I used this scrumptious new BasicGrey Paper Cottage 6x6 pad!!! I added lots of Star Dust Stickles to her cotton candy and added some American Crafts ribbon from my stash with a gorgeous NEW Blue Raspberry MFT button....the new buttons are totally scrumptious!!!I also used the Rectangle STAX Die-namics, Fishtail Flags STAX and Bracket Tab Die-namics.
Here is the inside of my card...I stamped the Sweet Greetings girl again in Lady Bug Memento ink and did a little more stitching...by the time I got to the inside of my card my sewing had slightly improved....but only ever so slightly. Here I've use my all time favourite, Layered Labels Die-namics with the ribbon die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics and I used the Mix and Match Banner Die-namics.
Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card that I made with the fabulous MFT sketch for the August MFT Guest DT Contest. I hope you give it a go and play along!!! Good luck!!!
Happy Stampin'!
