My Favorite Things Stamps...June Release - New Product Tour...Soldier Boy!

Photobucket

YAY! It's time to shop, Stampin' friends! All the Brand Spankin' NEW Stamps and Die-namics are now available! I know you are anxious to get shopping but before you do that; check out the New Product Tour with us!

I am featuring the NEW Pure Innocence Soldier Boy Stamp set! I love this cutie and when I first saw him, I thought of my son, Kieran, and his love for his little green army men. Kieran has gotten many, many hours of pleasure playing with little green army men. Sadly, I think he is growing out of it now as he is growing up, sniff, sniff! but I thought this little PI Soldier Boy would make a great Birthday card for a little guy who loved playing with green army men too. I teamed up the PI Soldier Boy with this gorgeous Simple Stories paper called, Aweso{me)! I love this pad...I used some 6x6 and 12x12 papers to make the card. I asked Kieran if I could borrow a few green army men to stage my pics. Well, I wasn't sure what was taking him so long. When he came back with these guys, he told me that he selected his best army men for me from his vast collection...too cute!

I also used the fabulous NEW Star STAX and the NEW Designer Label 2 STAX. I stamped part of one of the sentiments from the set on one of the Mini Tabs from the Mini Tab Foursome Die-namics to say "My Hero" and the sentiment "Happy Birthday" is from the PI All Occasions Sentiment set. I also used the First Place Award Ribbon Stamps and Die-namics set to the age of the Birthday boy! The little arrow is a stamp from the First Class Friend Stamp and Die-namics set.

I coloured the sweet PI Soldier Boy with my Copics and cut him and pop-dotted him on the Designer Label 2 panel...I think he makes the cutest little green Army man! I sprinkled a little black bling here and there added some green twill tape and the brown mesh ribbon I found in my stash and thought it would make perfect camouflage netting for my card.

Here is the inside of my card...I stamped a shadow image of the PI Soldier Boy with Bamboo Leaves Memento ink. Another sentiment from the PI All Occasions Sentiment set.

I also made a coordinating treat bag topper with the NEW Designer label 2 STAX. I bought some plastic treat bags and filled one with M&Ms. I cut one of the Designer Label 2 STAX from the green cardstock and scored along the middle of the die on my ScorPAL and cut another one size smaller from pattern paper and scored it and folded them over.

Then I stapled the bottom Designer Label on to the plastic treat bag and then covered the staples with the smaller label cut from pattern paper. I cut the circles with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics and the circle from the Sweet Stack Die-namics dies and then stamped the sentiment from the Pure Innocence Lollipop Girl stamp set.

I cut a second set of circles to cover the back so it is finished nicely all around and this is a good spot to write the name of each child attending the party on the treat bag!

What a great Release Week that was and now it is the time we've all been waiting for....time to SHOP!!!
