Sketch Saturday # 45 and Copic Colour Challenge # 7.....You Make Me Happy!!!!

Hey!!! Sorry, I haven't been around to visit much this weekend! I will do so later today! Yesterday, I wasn't feelin' so great! It rained all day and the day before and the low barometric pressure is a major migraine trigger for me! So, Yesterday I was pretty much out of commission and today I spent all flippin' day makin' this card...uuuggghh!

I debated if I should even post this card or not cuz I'm not that happy with it and I'm just not sure why...something's missing!!! But after all that work, I thought, what the heck!!! So, here it is!!! I made it for this week's challenge over at Sketch Saturday #45 and for the Copic Colour Challenge #7!

I loved this fabby sketch from the minute I laid eyes on it! It is by the fabulous and talented, Tracie, AKA, pinkangel! I got a good chuckle when I read that she even made sure that her sketch was pink, smile!!! Love this sketch, Tracie!!! I will definitely use it again!!! I also, played along with the challenge over at Copic Colour Challenge. This week, the colours are Light Prawn R22, Dark Brown E47 & Ice Blue B12!!! Another awesome colour combo!!! I think I'm going to get a little note book and start writing the great Copic colour combos down, so, that I will be able to use them again on future creations!!!

for this card I made my card base 6x6 from American Crafts Damask embossed cardstock and used Imaginisce Twitterpated paper. I used my Curvy rectangle Nesties to cut the mats for the main image. My friend Shannon let me stamp some of her Magnolia images a while back. So, I had the Old Stand from the Sea Collection in my images folder. I stamped on the Magnolia grass along the bottom and cut out the stand. I then Stamped Tilda on Georgia Pacific paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the cute little WOJ butterfly. I coloured everything with my Copics and used Twinkling H20s to add some twinkle and to dirty up Tilda's overalls.

I cut the scalloped "apron lace" border on my Silhouette...I think you are going to be seeing a lot of this border...I just love it! I used some America Crafts ribbon from my stash that matched my cardstock perfectly! I added the large Prima flower with leaves already attached and a few Primas here and there and Shimmerized everything, smile! The sentiment is a Quickutz rub-on!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek and for leaving me such sweet comments! I really do appreciate them...it definitely makes me happy!!!! Now, I'm off to put the kettle on and have a wee blog hop!

Have a great week friends!!!

Hugs,

So sorry you have been poorly - it's so frustrating to be out of action isn't it? I had cluster migraines for three days last month and it was awful. Hope you feel better soon hunny ;o) xx
