Here is the dramatic colour combo for this month's RC challenge and I always love drawing inspiration from the accompanying graphic too!

I decided it was time to get a little inky and a lot messy ;) and tried the popular Boke Technique! This Technique is perfect for this month's colour combination, the yellow and bright pink are fun and flirty and the grey adds a real dramatic and edgy feel to it all.

So, I pulled out my Distress inks - Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick and Black Soot and created the colour washed background on watercolour paper. I then made my stencil with circle dies from the RC Circles 'N Scallops and Fresh 'N Fruity Confetti Cuts just cut from cardstock as I didn't have any acetate sheets around. I stencilled in the white spots with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and to get the small circles I pressed a juicy dauber directly to the paper.  After I was sure the background was completely dry (the next day) I stamped the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti In a Big Way Stamp set. I added some Pink American Crafts Hemp cord and a sprinkling of sparkly silver Gumdrops.

I wanted the  inside to be simple and so I just added a sentiment from the Beautiful Banners Stamp set and Beautiful Banners Confetti Cuts.

I made a second card as I was having SO much fun creating the water-coloured backgrounds. This time the emphasis is on the bright yellow and I added some yellow American Crafts Hemp cord and yellow Gumdrops. Again, I stamped another pretty, scripty sentiment from the Reverse Confetti In A Big Way Stamps set.

I finished of the inside with the Beautiful Banners Stamp set and Beautiful Banners Confetti Cuts.

Reverse Confetti...Friends 'Til the End!

Hey 'Fetti friends! Just popping by with a card that I made with my Reverse Confetti Stamps and Confetti Cuts! I was hoping to have this card ready the other day for the SFYTT #16 recap but life and my migraines got in the way and I didn't get it finished in time for the recap post. I love the pretty paper, colours and how it turned out so I thought I would finish it up and post it!

 photo RCFriends_edited-1RS1_zpsfee373af.jpg

I made this card with the NEW Reverse Confetti In The Big Way Stamp set and stamped the sentiment on the Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock cut out with the Give Thanks Label Confetti Cuts. I also used the Love Note, Class Act, Circles 'N Scallops Confetti Cuts. The papers are from a MME Cut & Paste - Flair 6x6 pad. I embellished with some black Gumdrops and nest of hemp twine. I also added hearts from the Love Note Confetti Cuts and the Arrow Confetti Cuts.

Now, is it just me or is it starting to feel like Fall? Well, I'm not complaining (even though we didn't have the best summer) it is my favourite season! I just love the autumnal colours, the crisp cool air, bundling up in a big ol' cozy sweater and Thanksgiving dinner. I think that is why I fell in love with the NEW Give Thanks stamp set with a bounty of heart-felt and comforting sentiments. I stamped one of the sentiments on Primitive Cream Card Stock with Tangy Orange Premium Dye Ink. I love the versatility of the coordinating Give Thanks Label Confetti Cuts too. I've been using it on all my cards for the September RC Release and this time I used the smaller label die to cute out a frame in the larger label, then popped it up on dimensional foam squares.

I used Fancy Pants Happy Go Lucky 6X6 papers and the pretty floral patterned paper inspired the flower and leaf cluster that I made with the Petals 'N Posies Confetti Cuts and the Fresh 'N Fruity Confetti Cuts. Finally, I embellished with some hemp cord and a sprinkling of gold sparkly Gumdrops.

First up is the card...I cut out a Tag Me, Too tag and stamped it with NEW So Many Stars in Steel Grey Premium Dye Ink for a subtle tone-on-tone look. I then layered the solid panel from the Class Act Confetti Cuts in purple glitter paper with the NEW Stars Pretty Panel Confetti Cuts. I got a kick out of this sentiment from the New Cast A Spell Stamp set and stamped it with Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink on smaller of the two labels from the Give Thanks Label Confetti Cuts.  I embellished with the broom and witch's hat and scattered around several purple glittery stars cut out with the Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts and from the Stars Pretty Panel Confetti Cuts.
