I love this sketch...it made quick work of this card!

Have you ever found inspiration from random object in your home? Well, this morning I found inspiration from a bottle of Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion that was on my bathroom counter. So, I pulled out some MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock Olive, Natural and Primitive Cream for my colour scheme. This week's MFTWSC164 sketch is fabulous and since it made quick work of the layout I decided to try some "techniques". I used my MFT Fishnet Stencil to emboss the Primitive Cream Heavyweight Card Stock and I loved how it looks but I thought I would add a little more colour and left the paper in the stencil and inked with Tim Holtz Forest Moss Distress Ink. I cut the embossed and inked paper with the large rectangle from Blueprints 11.

I used lots of dies on this card...my Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Layers STAX, the Heirloom Label Die-namics and Pierced Oval STAX. The Aveeno bottle had a silhouette of a flower on it that reminded me of the beautiful Lisa Johnson Designs Peaceful Wildflowers Stamps set. So, I cut the Primitive Cream Heavyweight Card Stock with the LJD Wildflowers Die-namics and then stamped the Wildflowers in Natural Premium Dye Ink.  I stamped the swatch of paint from the Abstract Art Stamp set in Natural Premium Dye Ink and then stamped the sentiment from the LJD Cheerful Blessings in Olive Premium Dye ink. To finish it off I added some splatters with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Chartreuse.

I finished the inside of the card too....I added more LJD Peaceful Wildflowers and another sentiment from the LJD Cheerful Blessings Sentiment set.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a little peek at my card for this week's MFTWSC164 Sketch and for the LOVEFEST2014I Simon Says Stamp - Die Crazy Challenge over at the Splitcoast Love Fest!

My Favorite Things Stamps...Splitcoast Love Fest...Home Sweet Home!

Hi stampin' friends! I was over at the MFT blog today and they are hosting a Heartfelt challenge LOVEFEST2014H for the SCS 2014 Love Fest! The MFT challenge is to use Heartfelt Greetings as the inspiration for your project. Get sentimental on a card or layout, create a simple "just wanted to say hi!" card that features a heart, or simply use some felt to create an element on your project! There are so many directions this challenge can take you. LOTS of wonderful inspiration here and so I thought it was the perfect challenge for a housewarming card that I needed to make.

For my card I followed the top left sketch from the Blueprints 12 PDF.

I made the card from MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Sweet Tooth, Sno Cone, Bubblegum Pink, Pink Lemonade, Steel Grey, and Grout Grey. I used Blueprints 12, Stitched Circle STAX and the Swiss Dots Die-namics. The sentiments are from the Western Sentiments set and Homespun Birdhouse Sentiment Set (retired) and stamped with MFT Steel Grey Premium Dye ink. I added a little heart on the stitched banner from the NEW Smart Phone Die-namics
