My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 113...Sew Cute!!

This is the sweet sketch that we have for you this week!

For my card I inked up the Pure Innocence Cute As A Button Stamp set...she is SEW cute, don't ya think?! I teamed her up with the new MME My Girl 6x6 paper pad and matted with Razzle Berry, Blue Raspberry and Steep Grey Heavyweight Card Stock. I coloured the PI Cute As A Button girl with my Copics, paper pieced her out-fit and popped her up on the circle cut with the Circle STAX Die-namics Set 1 and 2. I cut the Notched tag from Whip Cream heavyweight Card Stock with the Notched Tag Die-namics and stamped a sentiment from the PI Cute As A Button Stamp set with Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink! I added a Hemp Cord bow with an Enamel Dot.

Here is the inside...I stamped a silhouette image of the PI Cute As A Button girl with Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink and I made a sentiment panel with the Circle STAX Set 1 and 2, the Vertical Greetings Die-namics and the Framed Greetings Die-namics.  I stamped another cute sentiment from the set with Razzle Berry Premium Dye ink and added another Hemp Cord bow with an Enamel Dot.

My Favorite Things Stamps...March Guest DT Contest...Yee-Haw!

Howdy stampin' friends! The MFT March Guest Designer Contest is up and running! The winner of this contest will win over $200 in stamp sets and Die-namics, AND have the opportunity to play along with the design team for the next release and all the Wednesday Stamp Club Challenges for the next month. MFT always has amazing stamp sets around the corner and getting (and stamping with) them early is a special treat. This month the challenge is to Get Sketchy. You may enter as many times as you would like, but you may enter ONLY a CARD. One card per entry.

Cards must feature MFT stamps, but are not strictly limited to MFT products. The use of Die-namics is encouraged. The deadline for entries is Sunday , March 10 at NOON EST. When uploading your entries, please use the keyword MFTGUESTDT0313. You will find the keyword also on the sketch attached below. (you enter the code in the keyword box during the upload process). The winner will be announced at the Release Party at around 9:15 pm EST on Monday, March 11th. Here is the great sketch that we have this month!

I used this month's fabulous sketch and paired it up with the super NEW cute a´ la modes Cowboy at Heart! I used BasicGrey Clippings 6x6 papers and matted with Nightshift Blue, Hot Fudge and Paver Red Heavyweight Card Stock. I also used the NEW Barbed Wire Fence Die-namics. I coloured the ALM Cowboy At Heart with my Copics and cut him out and popped him on of the circle panel cut with the Circle STAX Die-namics. I also used the Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Layers STAX Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment from the ALM Cowboy At Heart Stamp set on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock with MFT Kraft Premium Dye Ink. I then cut it out with the Chat Bubble Die-namics and used the "cut and re-cut" technique. 

Here is a detail shot...I spent a little extra time on the colouring and really tried to get some texture in on the chaps and his hat.

Here is the inside...I stamped the NEW ALM Cowboy At Heart again and used the Well Worn Greetings Die-namics and the Accent It- Labels and Tabs Die-namics. I stamped another sentiment from the ALM Cowboy At Heart Stamp set with MFT Kraft Premium Dye Ink.

BasicGrey Challenges # 87...Favorite Things...Picture Perfect Day!

Hi stampin' friends! I thought I would join the FUN challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges. The Challenge is Favourite Things...how perfect! I LOVE making cards with all my favourite things! I made this card using many of my favourite things...and I LOVE all things BasicGrey, so, I used this happy and bright BasicGrey Soeil 6x6 papers and I added a few BG glazed brads from various BG collections to the centres of a few of the flowers. I also had to use my favourite stamps...My Favorite Things Stamps - Pure Innocence...I inked up this cutie Pure Innocence Little Shutterbug! 

I coloured up the PI Little Shutterbug girl with my Copics and paper pieced her dress and cut her out and popped her up on the Dizzy Doily panel using the Dizzy Doily Die-namics. One of my favourite things to do on my cards is make my own, perfectly coordinating flowers with my absolute FAVOURITE MFT Die-namics...here I used the fabulous Flower Medley Die-namics. I added MFT Bubblegum Pink and Grape buttons tied with Hemp Cord and added a gorgeous Grapesicle Grosgrain Ribbon.  I also used the Chevron Stripes and the Mini Scallop Edge Die-namics.  I stamped the sweet sentiment from the PI Little Shutterbug Stamp set on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock with my favourite ink...MFT  Premium Dye Ink in Razzle Berry.

I finished of the inside of my card...one of my favourite things to do...can't seem to make a card without doing up the inside too! I stamped a silhouette image of the PI Little Shutterbug girl with MFT Grape Premium Dye Ink.  I added the sentiment panel using the Dizzy Doily Duo and the Circle STAX Die-namics. I stamped a sentiment from the PI Birthday Girl Stamp Set with Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink and I also stamped a sentiment from the PI Picture Perfect Stamp set on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the little circle tag from the Howdy Frames Die-namics. I stamped it with Grape Premium Dye Ink and added it to the flowers.

 I made valentine's cards and gourmet Jelly bean filled treat cones, for my family. Valentine's day sneaked up on me this year, after a stressful and scary month...it's been a bit of blur. My husband, Chris, very unexpectedly started having abdominal pain and ended up in the hospital for a week. We are SO glad that he is home, feeling better and after much worrying, waiting to see the specialist, he says it was a one-of event...phew! What a huge relief!!! I thought they could all use a special valentine card!

For my project I made a large 6x6 card for my husband, Chris, with the Doodle Garden I'm Raptor Around Your Finger Stamp set. I was inspired to try the "Pointillism" colouring technique featured by MFT Designer Michele Boyer in the recent MFT Academy tutorial ...SO much fun!!!  I used Echo Park - Love Story 6x6 paper pad and matted with Wild Cherry, Cotton Candy and Black Licorice Heavyweight Card Stock.  I cut the image out with my OVAL STAX Die-namics and coloured in the ground and grass with my PrismaColor Pencils and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. I also cut the Layered Heard Border Die-namics from Wild Cherry Heavyweight Card Stock and Steele Grey Heavyweight Card Stock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Doodle Garden - Raptor Around Your Finger on Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink and cut with the ribbon die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. I also added a flower cut from MFT Replenishment Felt, Wild Cherry, Bubblegum Pink, Steel Grey I added Red Hot button tied with Hemp Cord. 

Here is the inside of the card...I stamped the little Raptor from the Doodle Garden Raptor Around Your Finger stamp set in Wild Cherry Premium Dye Ink and a sentiment from the Doodle Garden Sweet Friend Stamp set and added a Bubblegum Pink Felt heart cut with the Rustic Hearts Die-namics.

I cut the Cone Treat Box Die-namics from acetate and filled them with gourmet Jelly beans. I embellished the cone treat boxes with Hybrid Heirloom flowers cut from MFT Wild Cherry, Bubblegum Pink and Steel Grey felt with the Large and Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics and added Red Hot buttons tied with Hemp cord. I stamped the XOXO from the PI All Occasions Stamp set on Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the Howdy Frames Die-namics.

I also made two smaller, A2, CAS-like cards for my children, Hannah and Kieran. The first one is for Hannah...I made the cards from Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock and stamped and coloured the image on with my Copics and added in the grass with my PrismaColor Pencils. popped up the white panel on the base. I added a few pattern paper strips cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. I added a Red Hot Button tied with hemp cord and a heart punched out from the Layered Border Die-namics. 

Here is the inside...very simple! 

This card is for my son, Kieran...I added a few more fishtail strips and a round tag from the Howdy Frames Die-namics stamped with the XOXO sentiment from the PI All Occasions Stamp Set.

Here is the pretty sketch that we for you to try this week!

This week's sketch inspired me to make two A2 sized cards and to try and keep it a CAS...."try" being the operative word. Now, I absolutely love the Clean and Simple style but I struggle with making CAS cards...I'm a pile it on kinda girl! I'm not sure if these cards qualify as CAS at all but they are definitely CAS for me...I really resisted the urge to add lots of layers. So, I had to crack open my new gorgeous BasicGrey, True Love 6x6 paper pad and used Kraft Heavyweight Card Stock for the card bases and matted with Steel Grey and Bubblegum Pink Heavyweight Card Stock.

For this card I cut MFT Blue Raspberry and Steel Grey Replenishments Felt with the Plentiful Petals Die-namics. I added a Blue Raspberry button tied with Hemp Cord and stamped my fave sentiment from the You Make My Day Stamp Set with Black Licorice Premium Dye ink on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock. I cut the sentiment with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics. I also used the Mix and Match Banner Die-namics and embellished with a few more Blue Raspberry Buttons. 

I kept the inside simple...and stamped the sentiment from the Lovey-Dovey Sentiments Stamp set with Black Licorice Premium Dye ink on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock.

This card follows the sketch a little more closely...again I stamped a sentiment from the You Make My Day Stamp set with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. I cut the Plentiful Petals Die-namics from Bubblegum Pink and Steel Grey Felt and added another Blue Raspberry button with Hemp cord. I used the Mix and Match Banner Die-namics and added another little Blue Raspberry Button.

and the inside is the same as the first card.

Here is the fabulous sketch that we have for you this month!

I LOVE this FUN sketch...it was perfect to scarp some SILLY pics that my daughter Hannah took of herself with Photobooth and the camera on her computer. She decided to get her GEEK on with some 3D movie glasses. I had the pics printed at Wal-Mart...4, 3X2 pics on one 4X6 sheet.

 

For this 12X12 page, I used Teressa Collins Tell Your Story 12X12 papers and used MFT Black Licorice, Sweet Tooth, Blue Raspberry and Orange Fizz Heavyweight Card Stock. I used the Laina Lamb Document It - Right This Way Stamp set, Document It - Off the Chart, Document It - Days and Dates and the You Make My Day Stamp set and stamped with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

To make all the banners I used the Rounded Banner STAX, Circle STAX 1 and 2, The Jumbo Banner Day STAX, The Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX, and the Heart STAX Die-namics. I strung them along Charcoal Twinery Twine.

I used the High-Rise Upper and Lower Case Alphabet Die-namics for the title and cut a flower from Black Licorice Heavyweight Card Stock with the Pretty Posies Die-namics. The little Orange Fizz Hearts are the punched out pieces from the Layered Hearts Border Die-namics.

I also used the Lead the Way Die-namics and added a few arrows here and there and the Accent It - Labels and Tabs Die-nmaics. 

I added a few Blue Raspberry Buttons tied with Charcoal Twinery Twine to some of the banners.

 I inked up the NEW Pure Innocence Bunny Ears stamp set...she is super cute...I coloured her with my Copics and paper pieced her bunny suit and egg. The papers are from the Authentique Delightful 6x6 paper pad and I matted with Kraft and Bubblegum Heavyweight Card Stock. I used my Rectangle STAX Die-namics to make the rectangle panels and I used the NEW Lattice Fence Die-namics and the flowers are from the NEW Trellis and Vine Die-namics. I added some grass cut from Sour Apple Heavyweight Card Stock with the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics. I wrapped some Hemp Cord around and tied it with a Pink Lemonade Button.

I stamped one of the sweet sentiments from the NEW PI Bunny Ears stamp set on Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock with the NEW Sour Apple Premium Dye Ink. I cut the sentiment out with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and cut a mat from Bubblegum Heavyweight Card Stock with the Fishtail Layers STAX Die-namics.

 Here is the inside of my card....I stamped the PI Bunny Ears again with the NEW Pink Lemonade Premium Dye Ink and another sentiment from the set in the NEW Sour Apple Premium Dye Ink. I added anther Pink Lemonade Button with Hemp Cord.
