My Favorite Things Stamps...July MFT Teasers Day 4...Baby Onesie Stamp and Die-namics.

Today we are featuring the NEW Baby Onesie and Airplane Greetings Stamp and Die-namics sets. I couldn't resist this super adorable Baby Onesie Stamp and Die-namics set...how adorable is this Onesie Die-namics!?  So many possibilities with this set too! I've been on a bit of an embossing kick when making my cards for this release. I thought I would use my American Crafts Zing Black Glitter embossing powder for a bold and sparkly effect. Unfortunately, the sparkle didn't photograph well but it's very sparkly IRL. The papers are Prima Doodle Deux 6x6 and are so pretty...I love 'em.

I added a few tiny brads as "snaps" on the Baby Onesie Die-namics die and pop-dotted it on the NEW Round Banner STAX Die-namics that I used as a fun tag for this card. I also used the Fishtail Flags STAX. I stamped the word congratulations from the Grad Girl A La Mode stamp set on Kraft card cut with the fabulous NEW Sentiment Strips...this is one of the must-haves from this release!

 

Here is the inside of my card...another Baby Onesie cut from some of the pretty pattern paper on a NEW Round Banner STAX "tag" some Fishtail Flag STAX and I stamped another one of the sweet sentiments from the Baby Onesie Stamp and Die-namics set, on kraft card cut with the Fishtail Flag STAX and then flipped it around and cut it again to get the Fishtail on both ends.

 

I want to share something that I made to go with the Baby Onesie card as a little gift. I picked up this crochet baby headband at Miceals and thought I could create my own flower embellishment for it with the gorgeous NEW Plentiful Petals Die-namics.

 

The flower embellishment is removable, as it is attached with the metal hair clip that I bought in a package at Micheals too. First, I cut a piece of My Favorite Felt in Bubblegum, with the Circle STAX Die-namics to be my base. I used my hot glue gun to adhere everything to the base even the metal hair clip, to the back of the felt circle.

 

Here is a close up pic...I used the beautiful NEW Plentiful Petals Die-namics, Hibiscus Die-namics and Rolled Flower Die-namics. I added some black bling and a BasicGrey Fabric Brad that is actually glued onto the flower.I used My Favorite Felt in Black, Wild Cherry, Bubblegum Pink, Puff Cloud White and Sour Apple green.

To model my baby headband with Plentiful Petals embellishment, I enlisted the help of my daughter's Teddy bear:)....I think he looks smashing.

La-La Land Crafts...Inspiration Friday Guest Designer...Happy Birthday!

Hello stampin' friends! Today we have a new theme for the La-La Land Inspirational Friday - Birthday! I thought it was the perfect time to ink up Heart Balloon Marci. I paired her up with this pretty Authentique paper pad called Uncommon.

 I coloured Marci with my Copics and paper pieced her dress, hairband and balloon, then cut her out and pop-dotted her on the Oval Panel cut with Oval Dainty Doily Die-namics and my Oval STAX Die-namics. I pulled out my handy dandy Kelly Panacci Stitching Stamps and stamped with Walnut stain Distress ink. I embellished with some pink satin ribbon and pink half pearls. The sentiment is from the MFT Big Greetings stamp set and stamped on white card cut with Fishtail Flags STAX and I inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink.

Today the MFT Designers are featuring the Complimentary Greetings, Clearly Sentimental About Audrey Hepburn and Monkey Business Stamps sets. I inked up the sweet NEW Monkey Business stamp set by Claire Keay. I coloured him up with my Copics and added texture by applying some Copic Blender Fluid onto a microfiber cloth and dabbing it over the coloured image. This was the first time I've tried this techique to add some texture to an image and I love how it turned out.

 The sweet Monkey Business Stamp set comes with the two cute banana accessory stamps too, so I stamped a few around the image and then stamped, coloured and cut out a few more to hang from the NEW Vine Border Die-namics. To add to the scene, I coloured in the ground and grass with my Prismacolor Pencils. The image was cut out with my RECTANGLE STAX Die-namics and I inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink.

I used the fabulous leaf Die-namics from the Hibiscus Die-namics and the NEW Vine Border Die-namics to add some jungle-like foliage to the card. I stamped the fun sentiment on kraft card cut one of the fabulous NEW Sentiment Strips Die-namics. It may be hard to see but I have also used the NEW Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics too. 

Here is the inside...I stamped the image again and added a few more bananas to the NEW Vine Border Die-nmaics and stamped another cute sentiment from the Monkey Business Stamps set.

Today the MFT Desigers are featuring the NEW Inspired by the Sea and NEW You Lift me Up Flopsey! I couldn't resist this cute bunny, Flopsey with his uplifting bouquet of balloons. I thought I would try my hand at colouring in the texture/fur with my Copics as MFT Designer, Michele, shared in the colouring tutorial post, here. It didn't quite turn out as good as Michele's but I was happy with my first attempt. I'm, admittingly, not very good about colouring animals and so have usually steered clear of animal stamps but am starting to give it a shot and who can resist cute Flopsey.

I also coloured in some grass, ground and shading with my Prismacolour Pencils and Gamsol. I cut the image out with my Circle STAX Die-namics and layered it over the NEW Designer Label 3 STAX. The papers are from a BasicGrey Serendipity 6x6 paper pad. The cute sentiment is stamped on kraft cardstock cut with one of the NEW Sentiment Strips, I then lined it up and ran it through to re-cut it to fit the size of the sentiment and my card.  I found the perfect green cotton lace trip in my ribbon bin and added a little Cappuccino Twinery Twine with a gorgeous button from Buttons Galore and More, Kiwi Colour Blends package. Finally I sprinkled a few green gems here and there.

 Here is the inside of the card...pretty simple but I just can't resist doing a little something on the inside of a card. I stamped You Lift Me Up Flopsey again. I used another one of the cute sentiments from this set stamped on one of the fabulous NEW Sentiment Strips and layered over the NEW Designer Label STAX.

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 78...Vertical Greetings...Chase your Dreams!

Hello stampin' friends! It is time to get sketchy with the MFTWSC again this week. Have you been keeping up with the sketch each week? Well, we have a fabulous sketch for you each and every Wednesday and it is very simple to join the challenge. My very good friend and co-worker was just promoted to a management position. I made this card congratulating her on this accomplishment. I used the wonderful Vertical Greetings Stamp and Die-namics set. The sentiments are so inspiring, feature a beautiful mix of fonts and make fabulous looking cards, quickly. I can't seem to get enough of this gorgeous BoBunny, Country Garden 6x6 paper pad lately. I stamped a sentiment from the A La Modes Grad Girl stamp set on a pattern paper cut with the Fishtail Flags STAX. I also used the Simply Scallops Die-namics and the Circle Tag Die-namics that comes in the Let's Toast Stamp and Die-namics set.

Here is the inside of my card...I used another one of the beautiful sentiments from the Vertical Greetings Stamp and Die-namics set and stamped another sentiment from the A La Modes Grad Girl stamp set and a Fishtail Flag banner.

La-La Land Crafts...Inspiration Friday Guest Designer...You're Wheely Great!

 Hello stampin' friends! Today I have a card to share with you that I made for this week's La-La Land Crafts, Inspirational Friday...Fun in the Sun! I thought would colour the super sweet Roller Skate Marci, she looks like she is having fun on a sunny day!

 

I used this pretty BasicGrey What's Up 6x6 papers. I coloured Roller Skate Marci with my Copics and cut her out and pop-dotted her on the card and added Transparent Gloss Viva Decor pen to the centers of the flowers on Marci's hat. I cut one of the sheets with my MFT Traditional Tags STAX and it created a little scene, like, Marci is roller skating through town. I also added a few felt flowers that I "built" with my Fringed Perennials Die-namics and the Botanical Beauty Die-namics. I stamped a cute sentiment on Kraft cardstock cut with MFT Chat Bubbles Die-namics. I embellished with some half-pearls and cotton lace trim.

 

 Here is the inside of my card...a shadow image of cute roller skating Marci and an other pretty felt flower and a sentiment stamped on kraft cardstock cut with the MFT Fishtail Flags Die-namics.
