Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps # 89...Clean and Simple (NO Embellies)...T.G.I.F!!!

Photobucket
Hey Krafty friends! WOW! All of the cards for last week's challenge were absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for trying my sketch!!! It was amazing seeing cards made with a sketch that I made....very cool!  I hope that you will get a chance to join us this week for another fabulously FUN Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! This week the uber talented and oh so sweet, Krafty Girl, Donna, is the hostess!!!! She has really picked a tough challenge this week! At least, I was feeling the pain on this one....OUCH!!!! Donna wants to see you make a CAS card....that means Clean and Simple and that translates into....NO embellishments!!!!!! Can you believe it! I thought I would go through ribbon and flower withdrawal and it was all I could do not to throw on a few gems or pearls on my card but I resisted the temptation to embellish!!!!

So all you have to do is make a card following this week's challenge, link it up on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog and if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation then you will be entered into the random draw to win your very own  Brigitte stamp as seen on Donna's STUNNING card this week!

Now, on a sad note, I want to let you all know that this is my last Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Challenge as a Krafty Girl but definitely not my last Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps card!!! I have stepped down from the KKS DT as I need to take a  bit of break from DT work and deadlines. I will still be crafting, stamping and blogging but not as much as I have been. It was a very difficult decision to make  because I absolutely LOVE Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to bits and Kimmie is such an incredibly kind and generous person to work with. It was a true honour to be on her DT!!! She has assembled such an amazing team too and all the gals on the DT are super talented, super FUNNY and super duper sweet....just a great bunch ladies to work with! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Krafty Girl!!!

So, here is my card for the NO EMBELLIE challenge....eeeekkkkkk!!!!!! Well, I have been thinking about this "T.G.I.F." card for a while as I just loooovvveee Katy Perry and her new song Last Friday Night. This is my tribute card to her song! I made the cardbase 6x6 and used my new 6x6 BasicGrey Out of Print Paper pad. I inked up my Judy stamp from the Moonlight Whispers collection and I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out and pop-dotted her on the oval panel. I printed the sentiments, that I typed up on the computer, on Kraft cardstock and cut out the T.G.I.F. with the Speech Bubble Dies from the MFT Say What Stamp and Die-nmaics set. See, I did it! There's no bling, no pearls, no flowers and no ribbon!!!!!

Photobucket
Here is the inside...again I printed the sentiment on Kraft cardstock. I thought this would make a good invitation card for a girls night out!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 88....A Sketch by Me...Have a tail waggin' Day!!

Photobucket
Good morning Krafty friends! Are you enjoying the heat??? Well, it has been HOT, HOT, HOT here!!! I hope it is a little cooler where YOU are or at least I hope you've been able to keep cool! Well, I won't complain too much about the heat cuz it is soooooooo much better than the cold and snow!

So, we have another fun challenge for you this week at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog. I'm really excited about it cuz I am the krafty hostess this week and I've designed a sketch for you to try! We are kickin' it old school this time cuz I have no idea how to make the fancy digitized sketches on the computer. So, I asked my sweet hubby, Chris, to draw this pencil sketch up for me from the card that I made and I think it looks great!!!

I would love for you to join the challenge and I can't wait to see what you all do with my sketch! If you link up your card on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Challenge blog and you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your card then you will be entered into the random draw to win your very own Tori Stamp from the Sporty Girls release by Annie Rodrigue! Whoo hoo!!!

Photobucket
For my card I made the base 6x6 with Kraft Cardstock and I used BasicGrey Lime Ricky 6x6 paper pad. I thought the patterns in this paper went really well with Tori and her cute outfit. I coloured Tori with my Copics and cut the image with my Nesties using the "Out of the Box Technique" so that her little doggie wouldn't get cut off by the Nestie die. I left the image in the die and inked with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress ink. I added some Maraschino Twinery twine With a BasicGrey button and a few red pearls.  I also used my MFT Simply Scalloped Die-nmaics and the sentiment actually comes with the KKS Gone Fishin' set.

Photobucket

I wanted to let you all know that Kimmie is having a Frugal Friday special again at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! This weekend's specials are up and they are on sale 40-50% off!!! My Favourite Things Stamps, WSC # 29!

Photobucket

Good morning crafty friends! Well, it's been so long since I have had the time to play along with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge and I have really missed it but we have been camping and enjoying the summer and the great weather we have been having. I have had every intention of joining in on all the challenges and have printed out all the sketches so I plan to go back and use them at some point, fingers crossed.

Well, I was glad to have some time and to use this week's fab sketch. I deviated a bit from the original sketch but it was great inspiration. I hope you can still see the sketch in there enough that my card still qualifies for this week challenge.
Photobucket
I used the My How you've Grown stamp set for the first time since I got it. I paper pieced and coloured with my Copics. I used the few scraps that I had left from my 6x6 My Minds eye Hazel pad to co-ordinate with the baby wall art project that I made for my friend, Jen. This card is for her too! I embossed the long panel that the sketch calls for and I distressed the edges and inked with Distress ink. I also used my Simply Scalloped border Die-Namics die. The Sketch calls for a flower but I thought the triple crinkled seam binding bow would stand in for the flower. The sentiment is from the Clearly Sentimental about Parenting set and I stamped it on the Die-namics label die from the Textile Rectangle Stamp and Die-nmaics set that I cut in half.

Photobucket

Here is the inside of my card and I used the stamps from the First Place Ribbon Die-nmaics. I stamped Congrats and the I only inked up "on" from the word stamp that says Son on the label die from the Textile Rectangle Stamp and Die-nmaics set. I then stamped the "#2" on the Die-namics Notched Tag.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Have a stampin' Great day!

Photobucket
Hey stampin' friends! Just a really quick post to share a card that I made this week for my friend's daughter....she is turning 2 years old next week and is having a pirate themed party! So I used Jane's gorgeous sketch that they have at Just Magnolia this week! I did add an extra layer as I do like lots of layers but I think you can still see the sketch there.
I used Pirate Tilda for the first time....she is sooooo cute. I also used my new BasicGrey Out of Print 6x6 papers and I am in love with them....so gorgeous. The flowers are Prima and have BG Out of Print brads in the centers and then I sprinkled a few pink gems here and there.

Well, that's all! I gotta run! Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

My Favourite Things...a baby gift project for a friend!

Hey stampin' friends! I worked on this project for a friend this weekend and I thought I would share it with you! My friend and co-worker, Jen, is expecting her second child very soon...a little boy. So exciting!!!! She asked if I could make 5, 5x7 panels to fit inside a frame that she has, to hang it in the baby's room. She has decorated the baby's roon in brown and blue, so I used MME 6x6 paper pad Stella Rose, Hazel pad and she asked that it have a bit of a sports related theme and she wanted some stars in there too.

So, this is what I came up with using some of the My Favorite Things, Pure Innocence stamp sets. I "modified" two the PI stamps into boys and use a few Boy with Dog stamps too. One is actually a digi image from Heather Ellis's Etsy shop. I also used several of my MFT Die-namics dies.

Photobucket
This is the PI Tree Swing set. The leaves are from The Flower Trio and Leaf Die-namics set and I also used the scalloped ribbon border die and Fresh Cut Grass Die-nmaics die with My Favorite Felt.

Photobucket
Photobucket

This is the PI Nap Time stamp set and modified the hair and I used one of the dies from the Sweet Stack Die-nmaics set.

Photobucket

This is a digi image. I used My Favorite Felt and the Flat-bottom cloud Die-namics and the Simply Scallop Die-namics.

Photobucket

This is the PI I get a Kick out of you set. I modified it into a little boy. I used the Fresh cut Grass Die-nmaics die and My Favorite felt. I also used the speech bubble die from the Say What Die-namics and stamp set.

So there ya have it! I am quite happy with how it turned out. I love this paper pad but sadly it is all gone now. I just might have to get another one, smile! Well, I hope Jen likes it. I am going to bring them to work and give them to her today! I will ask her take pic of them in the frame and I will show you how it looks all together!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Have a stampin' great day!

So for my card this week I have used the super cute Roxy from the Moonlight Whispers, Sporty Girls release! I use to go roller skating back in the day and I had cute leg warmers like Roxy too, he, he, he!!!! So, I coloured Roxy with my Copic markers, as always and cut the image out with my Nesties and then inked with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink.  I cut the smaller mat with my Fiskars Fingertip Grip Kraft Knife by cutting around the outer edge of the die. For the card I used BasicGrey Hopscotch 6x6 papers and American Crafts cadstock. I added some BasicGrey Glazed Epoxy brads in the center of the fabric Prima flowers. I also used my My Favorite Things Rolled Flower Die-nmaics die and cut it from canvas material and I used my Open Scalloped Die-nmaics die too but it kinda got covered up with embellies. I added some beautiful thick twill tape and sprinkled blue gems here and there! The fun sentiment comes with Roxy!
