BasicGrey Challenges # 45 and Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 98...Cherish!

Photobucket
Hey stampin' friends! I am back with another card today.  I made this card for BasicGrey Challenges, which is, is Shabby Chic and at Magnolia Down Under Challenges, Kylie, has designed a gorgeous sketch for us to use! I will definitely be using this gorgeous sketch again, Kylie!!!

Once again we have a fabulous prize at BasicGrey Challenges. To be eligible for the generous $25.00  gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore you need to make a Shabby Chic project and use at least one BasicGrey product on your card or creation and indicate in your post what BG item you have used. For the MDUC challenge we ask that you use a Magnolia stamp on your creation and we have a wonderful prize up for grabs this week too from our very own talented Denise, a set of her new gorgeous papers!!!

Photobucket
For my card this week I used this sweet stamp, Tilda with Butterfly Jeans. She is just too cute for words! I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out and then pop-dotted her on the rectangle mat cut from a rectangle Nesties.  I used BasicGrey Cappella 6x6 papers and 3 painted BG brads but I am not sure which line they are from. I roughed up the edges of the papers with my Tim Holtz Paper Distressing tool and then pained the papers with Picket Fence Distress Crackle paint. I am really loving the gauze that I am seeing on so many gorgeous vintage and Shabby cards out there in blogland. So, I raided the first aid kit and used some gauze on this card for the first time and I love it....I spritzed it with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist first and let it dry. I added some cotton lace trim, crinkled seam binding and I also used my Magnolia Tilda Lace border die. I pained the Prima flowers with the white crackle paint too and then added the BG brads to the centres. The butterflies are cut from QuicKutz cork material with my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and then pained with white crackle paint. I added a few half pearls here and there. The sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on, on a tag cut with a QuicKutz tag die.

Well, thanks so much for popping by again to see my BG Challenges and MDUC Challenges card! I really hope you can join both challenges! Please visit the DTs too and check out the gorgeous creations that they have made to inspire you!

Happy stampin'!

Hugs,

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 80...A Stitch in Time....Thank You Fairy Much!

Photobucket
Good morning Krafty friends! Well, it was great to have a short work week! This weekend I'm going to be running around like a mad women! Hannah has 2 recitals today and 2 tomorrow. I saw her full routine last week at the dress rehearsal and I was sooooo impressed and sooooooo proud of her and all the girls in her Acro class (Acro is like a gymnastic/Acrobatics/dance). They have really done a great job with their routine!!! Well, enough chit chat...let's get to the reason you are here!!!

It is time for another fun challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge blog! This week the super funny and super talented Carole is the Krafty hostess! The challenge is "A Stitch in Time"...Carole is asking us to use hand stitching in some way on your card or creation! I was a little intimidated by this challenge as I don't sew well, at all....by hand or machine! But I thought I would give it a go and Carole provided a few tips so I used her suggestion and pierced the holes in my paper first using the Stampin' Up Piercing mat. I hope you can join the challenge this week! If you use a Kraftin' kimmie Stamp on your card and link it up on the KKS Challenge blog then you will be entered into the random draw to win a Roxy stamp that Carole has used on her fabby card!
Photobucket
For my card this week I used LilyBelle...she is so sweet...just love her to bits! I made my card 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and used this scrumptious paper from MME Stella Rose 6x6 paper called Hazel. As, I said I pierced the holes first using my Stampin' Up! Piercing Mat and then stitched with this pretty brown twine. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Thanks, Carole, for the wee push to step outside my comfort zone and try something new!!! I coloured Lilybelle with my Copics and added in some grass and the shading around her with my PrismaColor prencils. I then stamped around the edges of the image with my Splotch Stamp in Desert Sand Memento ink. To finish the card off I added some felt flowers cut with MFT Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics die set and Pretty Posies Die-namics set in My Favorite Felt and sprinkled a few half pearls here and there. The sentiment comes with Lilybelle!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! Please swing by the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge blog for links to all the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests blogs. You will be so inspired by all the gorgeous cards this week and I know you will be inspired to get out a needle and thread and added a little or a lot of hand stitching to your card!

Happy Stampin'!

Photobucket
For my card this week I have used For the Record Echo Park 12x12 Papers and this sweet or should I say "tweet", Pure Innocence stamp by My favorite Things called You're So Tweet! I coloured the image with my Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress with the Echo Park papers. I inked all the edges of the paper and the die cuts with my new favourite ink Powder Puff chalk ink in Amaretto. I cut the image out with my Oval Nesties and then left the image in the die and inked with Old Paper Distress ink. I cut a mat with the scalloped Oval Nestie from black cardstock and adhered the image with dimensional adhesive. I cut a border from white cardstock using the My Favorite Things Dizzy Border Die-namics Die and I cut all the stars on my card with my QuicKutz dies but you can get the same look with the fabulous Stacking Stars Die-namics set too. I stamped a sentiment from another one of the Pure Innocence stamp sets called A Cart Full of Friends on the tag and hung it from the knotted ribbon and finally I added a little red bling here and there to finish off the card.
Photobucket
Here is the inside of my card....I stamped the PI Girlie again and used one of the sentiments that comes in the You're So Tweet stamp set

Well, thanks so for stopping by today and having a wee peek at my card! Make sure to swing on over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog and check out all the gorgeous cards by the Simon Says DT....then join us! We can't wait to see your gorgeous Stars and Stripes creations!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #79...."Text" Me...Live Your Passion!

Photobucket

Hey Krafty friends! I'm so glad it is the weekend and it is a long weekend here in Canada...we have Monday off for Victoria day! That means an extra day to get Krafty for all the Canadian Krafty Girls out there! YAY!!!! So, I hope you're ready for another fun, Krafty challenge! This week at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog, I've set the challenge.... "Text" me...so I would like to see "text" on your card or creations, perhaps it is printed or stamped on the paper, ribbon, flowers or other embellishment or it can be the sentiment! If you join the challenge and you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation then you will be entered into the random draw to win some free Krafty rubbah, whoo hoo! This week you have the chance to win the fabulous Janelle stamp from the new Sporty Girls collection that I have used on my card!

Photobucket

So, I thought I would colour up the fabulous, Janelle! I used my Copics and followed the Copic colour combination for darker skin tones suggested by Suzanne Dean in this video. I used some Scenic Route paper that I've had in my stash forever....some of my all time favourite paper. I especially love paper with text printed on it! I cut the flowers and the doily on my Silhouette. The leaves are from my MFT Upsy Daisy Die-namics die set. I added some BasicGrey brads to the centres of the flowers and a few black gems here and there.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge card. Make sure to swing by the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog and check out all the gorgeous cards that the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests have made to inspire you! Simon Says Stamp Challenge...Sparkle and Shine...Friends Forever!

Photobucket

Hey stampin' friends! Time for another fun challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog! This week the challenge is Sparkle and Shine and the DT is featuring Tattered Angels/Glimmer Mist this week! We would love to see how you use your Glimmer Mist or any of the Tattered Angles products that you have in your stash on your creation but it is not a requirement....just make them cards and projects sparkle and shine!!!

Once again, Heidi, has generously offered up a $50.00 gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore...whoo hoo!!!!  There are lots of fabulous new products in the superstore. If you join us this week you could be the lucky winner of the prize....so why not give it a go!!!!

Photobucket
So, for my card I used this pretty paper that has such a sweet country feel to it called Emma's Shoppe by Crate paper.  I also, inked up this adorable Tilda from the Butterfly Dreams collection called Hello Little Butterfly. I coloured the image with my Copics and cut it out and pop-dotted it on this fabulous doily that I cut out on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter. I love this doily and it looks so much like the My Favorite Things Dizzy Doily Die-namics too. I cut a Nestie circle for the middle of the doily from patterned paper and the sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on. To add to the country feel of this card I cut a denim Knee patch that I had in my stash with my My Favorite Things, Perfect Bracket Edge Die-namics border die. I added some Prima flowers and spritzed  them with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist, which, unfortunately, doesn't show up in my pics but adds a nice sparkle IRL and this pretty ribbon also adds some shimmer! To finish this off I added a sprinkling of pretty soft green half pearls here and there.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...the sentiment is also a Melissa Frances Rub-on!

Well thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Simon Says Stamp Challenge card! I really hope you can join us for the challenge this week! Please swing by the other Simon Says DT blogs and check out all the gorgeous card they have made this week to inspire you!

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps MAY 2011 Release Day 2 Krafty Peeks....Spiritual Krafty Quotes!

Photobucket
Hey Krafty friends! This week we have Krafty peeks of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps May release. I have to say this is one of my fave releases so far this year...absolutely gorgeous stamps this month! We also have a fabulous new artist joining the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps line up with such sweet and fun stamps...the Krafty Girls previewed the new Cheryl Alger Designs yesterday...gorgeous creations, Krafty Girls!

Today the Krafty Girls are previewing the beautiful Scriptural sentiments that are in this month's release called Scripture Quotes #1. These quotes are larger than the stamps in the Kimmie's Sentiment sets and perfect for a scrappy card or a scrapbook layout...there are 4 different scripture  quotes in the set.
Photobucket
For my card I used one of my favourite scriptural quotes and one that was read at my wedding. I think it is worth getting this Scripture Quote set this month for this scripture stamp alone. Wedding season is definitely upon us and you are sure to get lots of use of this sentiment and there are still 3 other beautiful scriptural quotes in the set, to boot.

For my card I stamped the sentiment with brown Sepia VersaFine ink and the embossed it with clear embossing powder to add shine and elegance to the card. I cut the sentiment out with my Nesties and inked with Old paper Distress ink. I used We R Memory Keepers, Tres Elegant papers and used the 6x6 panels that are the back side of the 12x12 sheets.  I added some Wild Orchid Crafts Cherry Blossoms and the love birds are QuicKutz 2x2 dies, then a sprinkling of white half pearls here and there to finish it off.

Now I am sure you would love to have this new Scripture Quotes set, wouldn't you!? Well, just leave a comment on each and every one of the Krafty Girl's blogs, that are previewing the Scripture Quotes today and Kimmie will pick a random winner to get the new Scripture Quotes stamp set.  Please swing by the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog for a list and links to all the Krafty Girls previewing the new Scripture Quotes set # 1, today.

Also, the other Krafty Girls will be previewing Steven Leary's May release stamps tomorrow. I will be back with a preview of the Annie Rodriegue Moonlight Whispers images and a new KKS Challenge on Saturday. Sunday, May 15th, is our Krafty Hop, as per usual and it is Release day, whoo hoo...you won't want to miss it!

Have a stampin' great day!

I coloured the image with my Copics and paper pieced her clothes and shopping bags. The ribbon is from my stash and so is the bling. I cut out the doily GSD file from the Silhouette website with my Silhouette cutter from Kraft cardstock.  I'm so glad to be getting more use of my Silhouette and will definitely be cutting more doilies on it as I am loving the way they look.  I also used my MFT Jumbo Scalloped border die-nmaics and scalloped Scallop Die-namics border die. The sentiment is stamped with Memento inks on Kraft cardstock.

Photobucket
