Hey Stampin friends! WOW! Everyone made such beautiful cards for the kids in last week's challenge!  Well, it's that time again! Time for a new challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog! This week the challenge is EMBOSSING and the Simon Says DT are featuring Belles 'N Whistles stamps. We would love to see your BnW creations but it is not a requirement of the challenge.

We have a very generous prize this week, as always, Heidi, has offered up at $50 dollar gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!!! I know you won't have any trouble spending the $50 dollars in the Superstore it is full to the brim with gorgeous stamps and crafty supplies. Please join us and you could be the lucky random winner of the $50 gift voucher!

Photobucket

For my card I have used the Belles 'N Whistles stamp called Bronzing Beauty...love her to bits I think she is my fave BnW image. I have coloured her with my Copics and cut the image out with my Oval Nesties. I left the image in the die and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink.  I have teamed the image up with BasicGrey Hopscotch 6x6 paper pad. I inked all the edges of my papers with my new favourite ink called Powder Puff chalk ink, Mocha Mama and Amaretto. The flowers are from my stash and I added BasicGrey Hopscotch painted brads to the centres. I also used my Die-namics Little Open Scallop border from My Favorite Things.  I love a crisp white sentiment and so I used Distress Embossing ink and American Crafts Zing White embossing powder to emboss the sentiment which is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, Kimmie's Mermaid Sentiments set

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Simon Says Stamp Challenge card! I really hope you can join us this week! Photobucket
For my card today I used sweet Isabelle, one of the 5 new FAIRIES from the Moonlight Whispers Collection illustrated by Annie Rodrigue! I coloured Isabelle when I was at ScrapFest last weekend...just love her to bits and I was hoping she would co-ordinate with my new favorite paper Hello Luscious and she matched up perfectly!!! Sorry, if you are getting sick of seeing so much Hello Luscious paper but I just can't get enough it! I discovered some new chalk ink, to ink all the edges of my papers, which I love to do, it is called Powder Puff and I just LOOOVVEE it...I have been using Amaretto and Mocha Mama and can't wait to try the other colours.

So, I cut the image of Isabelle out with my Nesties, embossed and left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. I also cut a small mat with my Fiskars Finger Grip craft knife by cutting around the outer edge of the Nestibilies Die. I added lots of Glamor Dust to Isabelle's wings, antenna and her feathered friend. I embellished with some crinkled seam binding and I added a BG Hello Luscious Glazed brad to the centre of the floppy bow. I then cut several flowers from Kraft and patterned paper with my My Favorite Things Die-namics Upsy Daisy set and added BG Hello Luscious painted brads to the centres. The sentiment comes with Isabelle and I used my Kelly Panacci stitching stamps to make it look like a stitched to the image panel.

well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the April release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, the new stamps are in the KKStamps on-line shop so make your way over there now to snatch 'em up....the next stop on the hop is to the sweet and talented Tracey at Tray's Spot! I know she is going to have a gorgeous creation to share with you so hop on over and make sure to comment at each and every stop so that you have a chance to win some gorgeous Krafty rubbah!

Happy Hoppin'!

Photobucket
Hey stampin' friends! I am so glad that it's the weekend aren't you? I know that the weather has been getting better and more spring like and Easter is just around the corner. I know everyone is so busy but I do hope you are able to get a little crafty time this weekend. If so, please join the new challenge that we have at Magnolia Down Under Challenges and BasicGrey Challenges....Easter/Spring! To join the BasicGrey Challenge remember that you need to use al least one BasicGrey product on your card and if you can mention the item you used in your post that helps the DT so much as there are so many products in the BG line, for the MDUC all we ask is that you have one Magnolia image or Doo Hickey Die on your card and that you coloured the image yourself.

At BasicGrey Challenges our wonderful sponsor Simon Says Stamp Superstore has once again offered up a very generous $25 voucher for the Simon Says Superstore. The superstore is just chalked full of gorgeous stamping and crafting goodies. I know you won't have any trouble spending your winnings... if you are the lucky random winner!
Photobucket
So for my card I used my fave BasicGrey Hello Luscious 6x6 paper pad again...sorry but I just cant get enough of this gorgeous paper...it is so luscious!!! I have been dying to ink up this adorable image, Tilda holding egg basket, from the Butterfly Dreams collection. I cut an egg shape on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter from Neenah card and a mat from American Crafts cardstock. I stamped Tilda on the paper cut into the egg shape with Memento ink and coloured her with my Copics. I finally used my Stempelglede Grunge collection stamps that I just had to have after admiring all of Inge's gorgeous cards for so long and how she uses the Grunge stamps. I stamped the grunge stamp with Memento Desert Sand ink around the image and I added some shading and grass with my Prismacolour pencils and odorless minerals spirits. To embellish I added Martha Stewart seam binding, Prima flowers with BasicGrey Hello Luscious painted brads and some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. The sentiments are Melissa Frances rub-ons from the Spring Fling sheet and I added just a bit of bling here and there.

Well, thanks so much for popping by and having a wee peek at my Easter card for the BasicGrey Challenge and Magnolia Down Under challenge. Please visit the MDUC DT and BG DT and see all their gorgeous Easter creations, leave them some love too and then join us!

Photobucket

Good morning Krafty friends! So are you ready for another fab day of Krafty peeks for the Kraftin Kimmie Stamps April release!? It's also Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge day...whoohoo!!! Today the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests are featuring Annie Rodrigue's new Fairy images and they are all absolutely STUNNING!!! I am so in love with all 5 new gorgeous faires and I know you are going to be gushing over all the gorgeous cards the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests have made for today's challenge and preview! The new April release stamps will be available in on-line shop, tomorrow Sunday April 17th and we are having our traditional Krafty Hop too and Kimmie always has new stamps up for grabs, so you won't want to miss it!

This week I'm the hostess for the challenge and I thought it would be fun to have a little game of Krafty Bingo! The Krafty Bingo Grid is below, all you have to do is select a line either vertically, horizontally or diagonally and then use the items from that line anywhere you want on your card or creation. So, for instance, on my card I have picked one of the diagonal lines and used Die cuts, Twine and Gems or you could pick say the top horizontal line and use flowers, buttons and bling/gems. It is pretty easy and I think it is a fun challenge and provides so many different options. So, I hope you can join us this week!

For my card I used BasicGrey Lemonade 6x6 papers and this super sweet and sassy Rosabelle Fairy stamp. I coloured her with my Copics and cut the image out with my Label Nesties and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress inks. As I said, I picked a diagonal line on the Bingo Grid and I added some die cut toadstools, cut with a QuicKutz 2x2 dies and some grass with my MFT Die-namics grass die. I also used some gorgeous Twinery twine and gems from my stash. One of the sentiments comes with Roseabelle and the "Birthday Wishes" sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set.

My Favorite Things...WSC Challenge # 14...Go Team CHS!

Photobucket
I have a quick post this morning to share a card I made for the MFTWSC14 sketch Challenge. I thought I would ink up this sweet A La Mode All Star girlie and I thought I would make this card to cheer on the CHS Durham Quest team that will be involved in our fundraising and awareness event called CHS Quest on May 29th. I work for The Canadian Hearing Society as an American Sign Language/English interpreter. We are having a really cool event that is a smart phone based scavenger hunt. All the info for CHS Quest can be found here

Photobucket
For my card I coloured up this sweet All Star A La Mode Girl with my Copics and added some shading with my Prismacolor Pencils. I cut the image out with my circle Nesties and inked with Scattered Straw Distress ink. I added the letters CHS with small alphabet stamp set that I have had forever. I used my new Lily Bee This and That 6x6 paper pad that I picked up on the weekend at ScrapFest. I stamped the sentiment on kraft cardstock cut with the die that comes in the Die-namics Framed Greetings Stamp and Die set. I also added some cork butterflies with my Butterfly Die-namics and MS butterfly punch! The butterfly is a significant symbol at CHS as most butterflies are deaf! "CHS has adopted the butterfly to symbolize the work that we do. The miracle of transformation that every butterfly goes through parallels the experience of many culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people, who with the help of our programs and services, emerge ready to spread their wings."
Photobucket
Here is the inside...pretty simple...I love stamping the shadow images on the inside and I used another one of the sentiments that comes in the All Star stamp set.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by today and having a wee peek at my MFTWSC # 14 sketch card!
