Simon Says Stamp Challenge...Domi's Fab Sketch + Penny Black...Je Taime!

Photobucket

Hey stampin' friends! Time for another great challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge! I am so glad to be back this week and able to share a DT card with you! Domi has designed a fabulous sketch for us to use...I really love this sketch and I know yo will too!  So, I  hope you can join us! The Simon Says Stamp Challenge DT are featuring Penny Black stamps this week! If you would like to share you Penny Black creations with us we would love to see them but it is not a requirement!

Heidi has very generously offered up a $50 gift voucher to the Simon Says Superstore for the prize again this week! Just think of all the gorgeous crafty supplies you can get with $50 and the Superstore is just chalked full of fab supplies!!!!

Photobucket
So, for my card I used one absolutely adorable image from the Mimi in Paris Transparent stamp set! The Memento ink didn't give a clean, crisp impression with the Transparent stamps, not sure why but I wanted a really crisp image, so, I stamped Mimi with VersaFine Black Onyx ink on Copic X-press it paper and then embossed the image with clear embossing powder, then I coloured Mimi with my Copic Markers. I love the shine that the clear embossing powder adds to the image too! It is a neat technique to use to get a dark black impression with the detail ink and still use your Copics. I made my card with My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink paper and gems and some Annalee Prima Flowers! I stamped a sentiment from a My Favorite Things Stamp set called Meet me at the Cafe, on a tag cut with a Nestibilites tag and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink

Photobucket
Here is the inside...pretty simple! I stamped the Eiffel tower image with Versafine Black Onyx ink and embossed with clear embossing powder again! The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things More Essential Sentiments set!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee look-see at my Simon Says Stamp challenge DT card! Please stop by the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog and see all the gorgeous and inspirational cards made by the super talented DT and then please join the challenge!

Have a stampin' great day!

My Favorite Things...WSC Challenge # 12...Butterfly Kisses!

Photobucket

Hey crafty friends! Just a really quick post tonight to share the card I made for the MFT WSC #12! I was so disappointed that I wasn't unable to make a card with last week's sketch cuz I was soooooooo sick... I thought I was going to be able to make every MFT WSC challenge too...such a bummer! Well, I wasn't going to miss this week's challenge, that was for sure, so I pulled out my new paper Echo Park, For the Record paper that I got at Simon Says Stamp Superstore, and got to work! I used this sweet PI girlie called Butterfly Kisses! I coloured the wee girl with my Copics and paper pieced her body suit and wings with the EP paper.
Photobucket
I cut some QuicKutz cork material with  my MFT Butterflies Die-namics set and the little wee butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch....I loooovvvve cork butterflies! I also use my MFT Flower Trio Die-namics set and Perfect Petal Die-namics and added a BasicGrey button with some of this great twine that I picked up at the Bella Boutique. The cotton twill tape is also from MFT!
Photobucket
Here is the inside....the sentiment comes form the PI set called Something Special Just for You!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and havin' a wee peek at my card!

Happy Stampin'!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and CPS-Card Sketches # 211!

Photobucket
Hey! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am finally feeling better and back to my old self, so much so, that I even did a little krafty shopping yesterday at the Bella Boutique and picked up some of the new BG Hello Luscious paper that I was just dying to get my hands on!!! I also made this card today!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring the sketch challenge this week at CPS-Card Sketches. I thought the simplicity of the sketch would make for a good "boy" card and I don't do boy cards very well, so, the sketch really helped to keep me from adding ribbon and flowers, lol! I did manage to get some black bling on there though, smile! The paper is American Crafts and so is the cardstock. I coloured up Danny with my Copics and left the image in the die and inked with Pumice Stone Distress ink.

Photobucket
Since the card design is so simple I stamped the sentiment that comes with Richie with VersiFine Black Onyx ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder to add a little shine and interest to the card.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at may card! I hope you will be able to play along with the CPS challenge this week! Remember there is Krafty rubbah up for grabs!!!

Have a krafty week, friends!!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps & Cute Card Thursday # 157... Cloud 9!!

Photobucket
Hey Krafty friends! well, I have been quite sick with a terrible, nasty, dreadful stomach flu! First, my son, Kieran, had it and then it hit me with a vengeance!!! I am slowly starting to come around, so it was so nice to finally feel well enough to get up out of bed and make a card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge! This week Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring CCT and they have a fab sketch this week! So, I hope you can join the challenge as they have Krafty rubber up for grabs...so what are you waiting for!? Let's get KRAFTY!

Photobucket
I have been dying to ink up this sweet image of Brigitte having a bubble bath from the Moonlight Whispers, Everyday Girls March Release! I coloured Brigitte up with my Copics to coordinate with my fave BasicGrey Hopscotch 6x6 papers. I also used my Splotch stamp from Frog's Whiskers Ink around the edges of the image with Desert Sand Memento ink. I searched my stash for some flowers that would match and I found these Prima Sugared flowers and thought they were pretty and sparkly! I added lost of Stickles to the bubbles in the bath and some sparkly ribbon too.  I also stamped some stitching with my Kelly Panacci Stitching Stamps and distressed the kraft circle mat with my Tim Holtz Tonic paper Distressing Tool. The sentiment actually comes with Judy from the 50's Inspired Release. Oh, and I should say that I flipped the gorgeous sketch to fit the image!

Photobucket
Here is the inside...can't seem to make a card without finishing the inside, even if it is just a little bit. The sentiment is from my fave set Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set...this set it sooooooo worth buying...it has all the perfect sentiments that you will ever need or want!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring this week! Please swing by the CCT blog and take a look at the fab sketch and gorgeous DT cards and I hope you can join us!

Happy Stampin'!

Well, I have have combined by card today and we have 2 fab challenges for you! At MDUC Jane has designed a gorgeous sketch and at BasicGrey Challenges, we would like to see you use a recycled item on your card or creation. Remember at BG Challenges you must use at least one item of BasicGrey product on you creation and please state in your post what you have used that is from the BasicGrey Range!  At MDUC we need to see a Magnolia product on your creation but it doesn't have to be Tilda or Edwin it can be any Magnolia stamp and or die. I really hope you can join us for both of these fabulous challenges!

Photobucket
For my card today, I used BG Kioshi 6x6 paper pad and I use a clothing tag off a pair of new Capri pants that I bought Hannah. The colours in the tag led me to use this gorgeous Kioshi papers....love them!! I used the tag as the rectangle on the sketch but repositioned it a bit so that you could still read what it says. I also used some Prima flowers and a roses and large rose is from WOC. I used this sweet Will you be my Valentine Tilda. Tilda was stamped on Copic Xpress it blending cardstock with Memento ink and I coloured her with my Copics and then I cut her out leaving a small white border and pop-dotted her on the card. The sentiment is a QuicKutz rub-on on a tag that I cut with a QuicKutz die.  I added some cotton lace trim, ribbon form my stash and a few pearls.

At BasicGrey challenges we have a fabulous prize again offered up by our wonderful sponsor Simon Says Stamp Superstore, a whopping $25.00 gift voucher to the Superstore...whoo hoo....lots of crafty goodies to be had there!!!!
Photobucket
Here is the inside...quite simple. I cut the sentiment panel with a My Favorite Things Die-namic Textile rectangle stamps and die set and the sentiment is from my new More Essential Sentiments set

Well thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my BasicGrey Challenges and Magnolia Down Under Challenges DT card!  Please swing by and visit the DT members and see all the gorgeous creations they have made to inspire you! I really hope you get some crafty time and can join us!

Photobucket
Hey Krafty friends! I hope you are ready for another fun challenge this week at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! Sweet, Krafty Girl, Krista is the hostess with mostest this week and she is asking to see BIG BUTTONS as the main embellishment on your creation...well, actually they don't have to be big, any size button will do just fine, smile! Krista has used the ever so sweet Becky Broadsword on her fab card this week! If you join the challenge and use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your card then you will be entered into the random draw to win a Becky Broadsword stamp of your very own! So get out those buttons BIG or small and have some Krafty fun!!!

Photobucket
For my card this week I used some of my favourite Scenic Route paper and teamed it up with one of the fabulous new quotes from Krafty Quotes # 2 set from the new March release! I love this quote...so inspirational and up-lifting...sorry, I couldn't resist, lol! I stamped it with Tim Holtz Distress embossing ink on kraft cardstock and then used American Crafts Zing White embossing powder...love that stuff!!!! I just love the look of a crisp, clean, white sentiment, don't you? It is so hard to get a good impression with white ink, trust me, I have tried them all, and I think the AC Zing White embossing powder yields the best results. I used my new My Favorite Things Fly a Kite Die-namics with die with this sentiment...prefect together. I also used some Blossom Twinery Twine for the tail of the kite and added little wee buttons.  The large button is from my BasicGrey stash. I used my Die-namics grass die too and then another sentiment from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge DT card! Please stop by the KKS Challenge blog and see all the gorgeous cards the Krafty Girls have created to inspire you then get out those buttons big or small and join us for some krafty fun!

Photobucket

Good morning stampin' friends! Time for another fun challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Challenges! I can't believe how many entries we had for our "Anything Goes" challenge last week! That was absolutely incredible...not sure if we got over 1000 or not but pretty darn close!!!!! Thank you all so much for sharing your beautiful creations with us! Hopefully you can join us again this week! The challenge is another easypeasy one....Happy Birthday....and we can always use another birthday card or two in our card box, now can't we!?

Photobucket
So for my card this week I followed the fabulous sketch that they have at Friday Sketchers # 145 and then I inked up one of the stamps from my new The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Lounge stamp set, that I got from...guess where...yuppers, Simon Says Stamps Superstore, he, he ,he!!! My daughter, Hannah, was wearing her cute black Uggs the other day and this Miss Anya reminds me of her...so I though I would inked her up! I stamped her on my new Copic Xpress It blending cardstock with Memento ink Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics. I'm still getting use to this paper as I have been using Neenah for a while now but I think I like it! I just need a little more practice with it! It is very slick...kind of like the Prism Simply Smooth paper that I used before I switched to Neenah. Not sure I am happy with how her hair turned out but you know what they say.... practice makes perfect, smile! I cut the image out with my Oval Nesties and inked with Spun Sugar Distess ink.

I used BasicGrey Olivia 6x6 papers and American Crafts cardstock and the velvet ric rac is also by American Crafts. I used a BG Olivia Canvas tag and added a rub-on "smile" that I had in my stash to the centre of it. I added some beautiful Prima flowers with BG painted brads and I stamp a sentiment from a My Favorite Things sentiment set on a QuicKutz tag. to finish it off I sprinkled a few gems here and there.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...I used a sentiment from a new More Essential Sentiment set from My Favorite Things. I also added some more Prima flowers and more bling.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Simon Says Stamp Birthday challenge card! I really hope you can join us! Please stop by the challenge blog and see all the gorgeous creations the DT have to inspire you too, then join us!

My Favorite Things...WSC Challenge # 10...A Best Friend...!

Photobucket
Just a quick post this morning to share the card I made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch # 10 challenge! I just got this sweet A La Mode stamp called Wishing You Luck! I knew that I just had to have her as I am of Irish descent. My Dad is from Newry, Co. Down N. Ireland. I colored the sweet A La mode cailin (colleen) up with my Copics and gave her dark hair just like me. I am told that I look Irish quite often...mostly by those folks who know what an Irish cailin looks like, smile! I also thought I would add some cotton lace trim as I thought it gave the feel of a warm and cozy Erin cable knit sweater!

Photobucket
I stamped one of the sentiments from the Wishing You Luck set on watercolour paper in Sepia ink an inked with Old Paper Distress ink.
Photobucket
Here is the inside...Very simple. I stamped the A La Mode girl again in Sepia ink and I cut watercolour paper with MFT Die-namics Polka Dot Greetings Stamp and Die set and stamped one of the sentiments for this set.

well, thanks so much for popping by today to have a wee peek at my card for the MFTWSC10 challenge!

Hope you have a stampin' great day!

Aren't the Everyday Girls from the new Annie Rodrigue Moonlight Whispers collection fabulous?! So,  for my card today, I am featuring sweet Lucy and she is doing one of my favourite things to do! Yup, if I'm not stamping and gettin' krafty I am curled up with a good book! Lucy is reading a love story but I prefer crime/forensic type mysteries...reading Port Mortuary by Patricia Cornwell at the mo. So, back to my card....I coloured Lucy with my Copics and cut the image with out with my Nesties that I think looks like an open book. I used the "out of the box" technique and then inked with Broken China Distress ink.  I used BG Sugar Rush 6x6 papers, the small open scalloped border is cut with my Die-namcis die. and I added some Prima flowers and American Crafts ribbon. I rubbed a Melissa Frances heart rub-on onto a Tim Holtz ticket and secured it with a BG Jovial Decorative clip.
