MFT GD...A Recipe for Love...You're TOO Sweet!

Photobucket

Hey crafty friends! I have a quick post tonight to share the card I made for the February GDT challenge over at My Favorite Things Stamps! The Challenge is a Recipe of Love...

Valentine's theme
One Patterned Paper
Two Cardstock Colors(not including neutral base)
Three Embellishments(three types, not just three of one thing)

So, I thought I would give it a go again this month and keep my fingers, toes and well, everything crossed! I would be so psyched to be the GDT for February!

Photobucket

For my valentine card I used this super sweet PI stamp called Lollipop. You can get lots of these cutie PI Girlies at Simon Says Stamp Super Store. I coloured her up with my Copics and teamed her up with this gorgeous new BasicGrey 6x6 paper pad called Hopscotch...I am soooo in love with this paper but I only used one sheet of it as per the recipe. I used yellow and blue American Crafts cardstock and Bazzill Kraft cardstock as my one neutral. For embellies I used, gems, Prima flowers and some trim (MFT twill and My Favorite Felt). I used my MFT Die-Namics Scalloped Scallop die to cut the felt. I added some sparkle with a Sakura Stardust pen and spread it around with my finger. I used my Glaze pen on her Lollipop, shoes and hair clip. I stamped one of the sentiments on some Kraft cardstock and cut it out with a QuicKutz tag die!

Photobucket
Here is the inside....I cut the heart shaped valentine lollipop holder with my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter. When I saw this cute GSD file, I knew it would be perfect for this card! I matted it on a Kraft scalloped Nestie heart and added one of the sentiments on a Nestie tag from the Lollipop Stamp set!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the GDT Challenge at My Favourite Things!

Have a stampin' great day!

My Favorite Things...WSC Challenge # 4...Time to...!

Photobucket
Good evening crafty friends! Hope you are enjoying the weekend and keeping warm. I decided to make my card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club challenge this afternoon and I couldn't wait to share it with you. When I saw this week's fabulous sketch last week, I instantly knew what I wanted to do with it and that I wanted to use this sweet A La Mode stamp called Take Time. I love how she is posed....so sweet and I just loved colouring her up with my Copics. I teamed this A La Mode girlie up with some of my MME Fine and Dandy, Tickled Pink papers....they are just so pretty and I thought they would be perfect for this card!

Photobucket
I have a Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter...one of the old ones from when they were owned by QuicKutz. I still love it but I haven't been using it very much lately. Well, I decided to make a bit of a new years resolution to use it more often. So, I used this GSD clock face file and I cut it out from black cardstock and then I cut the "scalloped" Nested circle GSD file...I think that it actually looks like hearts more than  scalloped. I added some pearls and this gorgeous MFT striped twill. I stamped one of the sentiments that comes with Take Time set on a QuicKutz tag.

Photobucket

and here is the inside.....the inside sentiment is from the same MFT Take Time set.

I'm really happy with how my card turned out I love the black with the soft pink and blue and I am so glad that I got to use my Silhouette!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Hugs,

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 63....Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...Sending my Love!

Photobucket

Good morning Krafty friends! Is it just me or did this week just zip by at breakneck speed or what? I didn't even get around to visiting all my lovely krafty peeps like I wanted too. I will make sure to pop by and say hi very soon though!

Well, today I'm sharing the card I made for the fun challenge that we have this week at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog! Firstly, I wanted to say, I did take a look at all the gorgeous cards submitted for my KKStamps Fiary Tale challenge last week. WOWZERS!!! You all made such beautiful cards and it was amazing to see all the beautiful and creative uses of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Well, I hope you join us again this week as the uber talented, Krafty Girl, Melanie, has set the challenge and this week Melanie would like us to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle...this is such a fun challenge!!!  Melanie has used the gorgeous Stella Strawberry from the new January release, on her creation, you must check it out, her project and her colouring are simply divine and what a fabulously krafty project! If you join us and use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation then you will be entered into the random draw to win a Stella Strawberry stamp of your very own.

Photobucket
So, onto my card....I have to admit I wasn't all that creative with my 3 R's for this one but I am still quite happy with how my card turned out. I coloured up this sweet image, Rebecca Rasperberry with my Copics and I used my PrismaColored pencils and OMS to add in the blue shadowing and grass, à la Krafty Girl, Michele Boyer. I also used my new beloved "splotch" stamp from Frog's Whiskers ink stamps and stamped with Memento Dessert Sand ink. I love the way this splotch looks and have always admired this effect on Inge's beautiful cards where I've "lifted" this idea from, hope you don't mind, hun! I decided to team up Rebecca with some 12X12 BasicGrey Bittersweet papers that I had in my stash for a while and I also thought this brown grosgrain ribbon would be perfect for my card!  It was from the packaging of my Prima Painterly flowers and was perfect for my recycled item, in keeping with this week's challenge. I also, "reused" or more like "repurposed" some ugly dollar store chipboard photo turns and covered them with the BG Bittersweet paper.  I already had this Catslife Press stamp label stamped out on BG Bittersweet paper so I used it too and I added some Pretty pink Prima Painterly flowers with brown glittery domes and some Sakura Stardust pen to finish it off. The bottom sentiment actually comes with the sweet Stella Strawberry.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! I really hope you can join us this week! Please make a stop by the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge blog for links to all the Krafty Girls cards. They have made stunning creations, as always, and they are sure to inspire you to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

Have a stampin' great weekend!

I absolutely loooovvveeee this paper to bits and I teamed it up with the oh so sweet Stella Strawberry from the January Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps release. I colored Stella with my Copics and added Viva Decor cream pearl pen for her buttons and lots of Sakura stardust pen for sparkle. The flowers are my new Marianne D dies that I ordered from Nikki at Bunny Zoe shop as you can't get them in Canada or the US and I absolutely love them, the leaves are from a Quickutz die and so is the round tag. I used the sentiment that actually comes with Rebecca Raspberry. I added some brown half pearls and this fab ribbon from my stash!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge...Animal Antics Challenge & Stampabilites...Little One...!

Photobucket

Happy hump day crafty friends! Yup! It is Wednesday and we are that much closer to the weekend whoo hoo! It is also time for another fun challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge! WOWZERS!!! You all really loved the Bingo challenge that we had last week...such an impressive turn out! I loved that challenge too.....so much fun! Well, this week the challenge is equally as fun! We would like to see some Animal Antics and the DT are featuring Stampabilities stamps...so pull out your Happy Hoppers, House Mouse and Gruffies stamps and any other Stampabilities stamps if you have them or any other animal stamps you have and join us for some animal antics.

We also have a fabulous prize this week....a whopping $50 voucher for the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!!!!! You can stock up on a lot of fab new crafty goodies from the Simon Says Stamp Superstore with that....how fun!!!

For my card I used this sweet Happy Hoppers stamp! I always admire others' ability to colour animal stamps but for some reason I really struggle colouring them myself. So, I did my best colouring up, this super cute image from Happy Hoppers collection called Love Bunny, with my Copics but I am afraid I didn't really do it justice. I used some pretty BoBunny Olivia papers with one of my fave colour combos, peachy pink and hunter green...these were my wedding colours and I still live this combo. One of the papers had the fab sentiment right on it....I added a Melissa Frances rub-on from the Baby Boy Transfers sheet to the image. I cut the image out with my Square Nesties and I inked with Pumice Stone Distress ink. I added some Crinkled seam binding and a BasicGrey Button from my stash!
Photobucket

Here is the inside....I used one of my favourite Baby acrylic stamp sets by Fancy Pants called Little Star.

Photobucket

Well thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Card! I really hope you can join us for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and make sure to visit the other Simon Says DT members and see all the fab Animal Antics cards they have made to inspire you!

My Favorite Things...WSC Challenge # 3...Welcome!

Photobucket
Just a quick post tonight... it's Castle night and I can't miss my fave TV show but I wanted to get the card posted that I made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge up before the deadline tomorrow at noon! They have another fabulous sketch this week...I am so loving the WSC sketches...haven't missed one yet. Sure hope I can keep it up and make one every week but it might be tough, we'll see!!!
Photobucket
So, I used some more fab We R Memory Keepers paper. This time I used the Family Keepsake collection. I really love this paper it is so pretty and I love that there are 12x12 sheets that have 4 6x6 panels of the pattern paper shrunk down to the perfect cardmaking size! I decided to use this MFT A La Mode girlie, What's Cooking, I just love her to bits. I think I'm living vicariously through her as I don't have a domestic bone in my body, lol!  I coloured her with my Copics and did a wee bit of paper piecing on her apron. I used some scrumptious Peapod Twinery Twine too and a BasicGrey button and brads. The paper had this phrase "Happiness is Homemade" on it and I thought it would be fun to use as it is also one of the sentiments that comes in the What's cooking A La Mode set.

Here is the inside...I used one of the sentiments from the Time to Celebrate A La Mode.

Well, thanks so much for popping by and having a wee peek at my MFT WSC card!

Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 80...Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...Happy Birthday, Little Lady!

Photobucket

Hello crafty friends! I am back with another card to share with you today! This time for the wonderful challenge that we have at Magnolia Down Under Challenges! This week the challenge is Reuse, Reduce, Recycle! I love reusing clothing tags on my cards, so that is what I have done for this challenge. I hope you can join us at MDUC, just remember that you must use a Magnolia stamp on your card or creation to be eligible for any prize! Please pop on over the MDUC blog and see the gorgeous inspiration from our talented DT and leave them so love.
Photobucket

For my card I used this sweet Tilda with balloon from the Magnolia You're So Special collection that came in my Winter Stampclub kit. I just love her to bits!!!! I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out and pop-dotted her on the oval. I also added Tim Holtz Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the balloon and it makes it very sparkly and pretty IRL! The papers are my new fave MME Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink. I reused this large chipboard tag that I think came on a jacket that I bought and I kept it. It was perfect for this card....it actually says Lady Hathaway on it, the clothing brand name....I covered up the Hathaway part of it and only left the word Lady and added a Melissa Frances rub-on "little". The sentiment on the QuicKutz tag is also a Melissa Frances rub-on. I added some gorgeous My Favorite Thing Twill ribbon and some Prima flowers. I also used my Magnolia Doohickey leaves dies and cut them from glitter paper. I added a few pearls that I coloured with a Copic marker to match.
Photobucket

Here is the inside....this sentiment came in the Magnolia Stampclub kit as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by again and having a wee peek at my MDUC card!

Happy Sampin'!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge...A BINGO Challenge...Be My Valentine!

Photobucket

Good morning stampers! I love Wednesday...hump day....we're half way through the week and the weekend is in full view, lol! I also like it cuz it is Simon Says Stamp Challenge day...Woo hoo!!! This week we have a great challenge idea for you, BINGO...no reason to not join us as there are multiple options! Just pick the bingo line that you like best! Use any 3 items that are in a straight line (up, down, across, diagonal) Eg. use a punch/die cuts, embossing and ribbon on your creation or Brads, Flowers and Ribbon, just to name 2 options...isn't it a great idea! Well, let's play BINGO!!!!!!

This week, the prize is a WHOPPING $50 voucher from Simon Says Stamp Superstore!!! Whheeeeeehoooooo!!!!!! How exciting eh?? So, get out your stamps and start creating!!! We can't wait to see what you create!!!! Have a great week & good luck!

Photobucket

I have to say, that I am very pleased with how my card turned and I wasn't really planning on it being a Valentine with this paper but it just worked out that way. I rather like the non-traditional colour combo! I used the Punch/Die Cuts, Flowers, Gems line on the Bingo card!

I tried to change things up a bit on this card as I think I am falling into a crafting rut, where I always doing the same things on my cards. I really admire the beautiful stylings of Inge Groot and I have been on the look out for a grunge stamp like the ones she uses on her cards. I finally found one and used it for the first time on this card and I'm very happy with the results!!!

So, for my card I used BasicGrey Marjolaine 6x6 papers that I just adore and I decided to ink up a poorly neglected Miss Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm's, Miss Anya Love set. I coloured Miss Anya with my Copic markers and cut the image out with my rectangle Nesties and embossed it and matted with the  scalloped rectangle Nesties. I stamped the "splotch" stamp with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink around the edges of the image to get that grunge look I so like. I added some Prima flowers with gems in the the centres and sprinkled a few gems here and there. In keeping with my line on the bingo card, I used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Notebook Edge die and I punched some butterflies from cork with my Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Butterfly punch. The sentiment is from the Holidays Transfers Melissa France rub-on sheet. To finish things off, I added a little sparkle with a Sakura Clear Stardust pen and just spread the sparkle around with my finger to get a softer feel. I used my Viva Decor black Pearl pen to add the buttons on Anya's boots and shirt.

Photobucket

Here is the inside of my card....pretty simple...the sentiment is also from a Melissa Frances rub-on sheet called LOVE Transfers.

I hope you have some time to join us for this fabulous challenge that we have this week at Simon Says Stamp...can't wait to see what you make! Thanks for stopping by and for having a wee peek at my card...please stop by the other Simon Says Stamp Challenge DT members and see their gorgeous creations too!

My Favorite Things...WSC Challenge # 2...Bee Mine!

Photobucket

Hello carfty friends! Just a quick post tonight to share the card I made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge with Sketch #2! I am really enjoying the sketch challenges at MFT this year. It really is so much easier to join in the fun now.

So, I wanted to use this sweet We R Memory Keepers paper called Be My Valentine but then I didn't think I had a MFT valentine stamp to use, until I remembered that I had this cutie PI girl called Honey Bee and she comes with several different sentiments, making it a very versatile set. I really loved Michele Boyer's card with the MFT Ladybug PI Girl and her non-traditional, red and brown, colour choice. You can see her gorgeous card here. So, I thought I would colour my wee Honey Bee PI Girl in yellow and brown and it also went well with the paper. I coloured the MFT Honey Bee PI Girl with my Copics and cut the image out with my long rectangle Nesties, embossed and left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. I also added some sparkle with a Sakura Clear Stardust pen a spread it around with my finger. I added two little dots to her antenna with my black Viva Decor pearl pen.

I made an easel card and I used my Tim Hotlz Tonic Distressing tool to rough up the edges of the brown American Crafts cardstock. I added some pearls and American Crafts ribbon and on the bottom sentiment panel I added a pearl heart that I coloured with my brown Copic marker.

Photobucket
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! Off now to watch my monday night TV show, Castle...it's my fave...I think Castle is so dreamy and he cracks me up, he, he, he!

Night!
