Club Anya and Friends Saturday Sketch #20...Karate Kieran!
Good Morning!!! I hope you all had a great weekend! I got lots of DT cards made over the weekend and then squeezed in this card for my son Kieran. He is taking Karate, well, I think it is actually Jujitsu but I'm not a 100 % sure...anyways...he did is grading on Friday night and he finds out tonight if he moves up and gets a belt with a yellow stripe on it. He is very excited! I have total faith that he did it! I tucked this in his lunch bag this morning because he is also starting his Grade 3 testing today and I wanted to give him a little word of encouragement.
I made this card following the great sketch that they have this week over at Club Anya & Friends! I used digi Karate Ian for my card and Fancy Pants paper from my stash. I used some white twill tape and made the yellow stripe with my Acid Yellow Copic. The stars are QuicKutz dies.
Here is the inside...the sentiment is by CC Designs. I am quite happy with how this card turned out and it came together so quickly too! Love it when that happens!
Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek! Hope you have a great week!

New BasicGrey Challenges # 21...a sketch and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps # 31...Rough it Up!
Good morning Krafty friends! Are you glad it is the weekend?! I sure am! I had another crazy week at work so it is going to be so nice to just relax and maybe do some stamping,he, he, he! Well, I have a card to share with you this morning that I made for both the Basic Grey challenges and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! At BG Challenges we have another one of Martine's fabulous sketches for you to use and over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge the very talented, Guest Krafty Girl, Krista, has set the challenge...Rough it Up...add any kind of texture or distressing! Krista has made the cutest card featuring the fabulous new stamp Perfect Poison from the May release. If you join the challenge and use a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp on your creation you will be entered into the random draw to win a Perfect poison stamp...how cool is that!?
So I made my cardbase 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and I used BG Recess pp and the green sheet is from Sugared. I followed Martine's fabulous sketch and I added texture by using a piece of a corrugated box and I painted it with Tim Holtz Distress Crackle paint in White Picket fence. I stamped this sweet Kraftin' Kimmie stamp from the Crissy's Cuties collection called Gone Fishin' with Memento Ink on Neenah card and coloured Huck and Lady with my Copics.
I stamped the Autumn Leaves ticket stamp on pp and cut it out with my Ticket punch and then wrinkled it to add to the distressing. The sentiment on the QuicKutz tag is a Melissa Frances rub-on and the flower and brads are from a Chatterbox scrapbooking kit.
Here is the inside of the card...I used a Digi Embellishment circle that comes in the Summer Cottage kit from The Shabby Shoppe. "Hugs" is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set and is stamped on a QuicKutz tag!
Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! I hope you join us for both the Basic Grey Challenge and the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and make sure to pop on over to the challenge blogs and have a look at the fabulous creations both DTs have made to inspire you!!

Just Magnolia #56...The Princess has Spoken!
Hey crafty friends! Hot enough for ya!? We are having a heat wave here in Ontario, that is for sure! It was 31 degrees C today, record breaking temps for this time of year! Looks like we are in for a hot summer! But hold on, it's still technically, spring...well, that's just fine with me!!!
Well, tonight I wanted to share this easel desktop calendar I made for ME, ME, ME...yes, little ol' ME, he, he, he, and I'm going to put it on my desk at work! I made it with the fabulous sketch that the uber-talented, Jane, designed for Just Magnolia challenge this week!
Now why has it taken me sooooo long to ink up sweet Tilda with Apple!? Did you notice she has a striking resemblance to my favourite Princess, Snow White!? Well, I just had to colour her up just like Snow White!!! I used my Copics and I added some glaze pen to her shoes and the apple. She is just toooooo cute for words...love her to bits!!! I used this yummy Cosmo Cricket paper from stash...oh, I just love this paper! My dear sweet friend and BG DT member Tara W sent me a couple of these fab mini calendars and the perfect little apple charm is from my other dear sweet friend and BG DT boss, smile, Martine!
And I have been saving this great Melissa Frances rub-on too...yes, I think I can totally be a "princess" now and then...so how fitting is this sentiment...I know my hubby, Chris and my Mom would say this suits me to a T, smile! I'm loving my new MS butterfly punch...getting lots of use and of course I used some American Crafts ribbon and Prima flowers and Dollar store roses.
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!!!

Happy Victoria day! I hope my Canadian crafty friends are enjoying the day off! I hope everyone is having a sunny Monday too! I was doing some blog hopping and came across this new challenge that they just started today over at the Belles n' Whistles blog.
They will have a new Belles n' Whistles only challenge every other Monday! I thought I would join the fun and have been dieing to ink up this sweet image, Bronzing Beauty. The challenge today is set by the ohhhh so talented and super sweet, Kathy Page, Distressed Stamper, I just love her blog and her gorgeous creations...I'm always inspired by her creativity and fab style. She is asking to see DIY flowers on your creation.
I also used the fabulous sketch at Friday Sketchers by Jeanette, another very talented card designer and I always LOVE her sketches!!! I used this yummy paper in my stash from last summer...I think it is K&Co. Citronella paper but don't quote me,smile. for my DIY flower, I didn't make a flower really...I made this lollipop "watermelon". I saw this on the cover of Scrapbooks Etc. magazine and I thought it was very cute so I gave it a try and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I added a few Prima roses and hydrangeas too. The sentiment is Melissa Frances rub-on, on a QK tag.
Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 30...How Charming...Girls Gone Wild!
Good Morning all and a happy long weekend to my fellow Canadian Krafty Girls!!!! Monday is Victoria day here, so, we are all in high spirits with the extra day off and ready to enjoy the sun and maybe a little krafting too, it is Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge day, after all!
Guess what!? I'm the hostess this week and the challenge is...How Charming...so let's see a cute charm or two on your KKS kreations this week! I'm sure you have a charm in your stash just waiting to be dangled from a flower or some ribbon! So, if you join the challenge and use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps image on your kreation the you will be entered into the random draw for a stamp of dalring Eleanor, featured on my card!
Well, I just had to ink Eleanor up again... I think she is sooooo darn cute and I wanted to use up some scraps of this Imaginisce Shore Thing pp that I had in my stash from last summer...I think it's really cute and goes nicely with Eleanor. I coloured her with my Copics and cut the image out and pop-dotted her on the long Oval Nestie.
I know that last weekend in my travels from blog to blog, I saw this idea to hang 2 charms and attach it to the ribbon with a lobster clasp, but I can't remember for the life of me, where I saw it! If it is your idea or you know who's idea it is, please let me know so I can give you credit for this great idea, smile! The sweet charms I bought at the Bella Boutique last summer and it was great to finally use them. I stamped the Girls Gone Wild sentiment from the Kimmie's Sassy Sentiments set on QK tag and the other sentiment on a coordinating sticker. "Sunny Wishes" is from the new Beachy Sentiments set and I added "Birthday" from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set.
I hope you get some time over the next week to join us at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! The Krafty Girls have made such charming creations this week, as per usual....I am sure you will be soooo inspired, so, please pop by and have a look and then look in your stash for a charm or two!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Club Anya and Friends Saturday Sketch #18...Flirty Edward!
Hey crafty friends! I hope you week is off to a great start! I am back this morning to share another card that I made for a work friend! She asked me to make her a birthday card for her friend, who is a huge Twilighter and I knew the perfect image...Flirty Edward...isn't he a doll! I had so much fun colouring him!
I needed a little help to get me started with card design though. So, I went looking for a sketch and they just so happened to have this fabulous sketch over at Club Anya and Friends...it is Saturday Sketch # 18!
Here is the inside!
I needed a little help to get me started with card design though. So, I went looking for a sketch and they just so happened to have this fabulous sketch over at Club Anya and Friends...it is Saturday Sketch # 18!
I printed out Edward and coloured him with my Copics. I am quite happy with how is pale skin turned out...I used YR0000, 000, 00 and R000 for just a titch of rose to his cheeks...looks better IRL. I made my cardbase 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and matted with Bazzill Basics and used BasicGrey Sugar Rush. I thought I would use this Prima lace/flower trim that I bought at Micheals in the discount rack! I did a search for Twilight quotes and found this one so I printed it on the computer and I also downloaded a free font on Edward's Handwriting.
I added a little Sakura Stardust pen and spread it around with my finger to make Edward sparkle.
Here is the inside!
Thanks for popping by and having a little look-see at my Edward card! I am quite happy with how it turned out. I hope my friend likes it and I really hope her friend likes it,lol!

Just Magnolia #55, FS #102, CCT #112 ...We Adore You!
Good Morning friends! I hope you had a great weekend! I finally got my house cleaned and then spent yesterday making this card! My friend asked me to make her a card for her niece's first birthday and asked that the image have flowers in it! I just adore this Tilda with Flowing Hair...I love her sweet shoes and how she has her foot turned in...too cute! I thought she would be perfect for this card as she has flowers in her basket, as requested and I also used the Magnolia Spring Tree stamp, from the Easter collection 2009, just for a few more flowers.
So, I checked out the challenges...Just Magnolia challenge is One for the Girls, Cute Card Thursday's challenge is For Someone Special and I used the Fabulous Sketch by Tanja over at Friday Sketchers!!!
I coloured the image with my Copics and made my easel card from American Crafts cardstock and Matted with Bazzill cardstock. the pp is MME Quite Contrary. The image turned out larger than I thought and you can barely see the circle of pp that is suppose to be in the sketch...Oops! All the sentiments are Melissa Frances rub-ons...my fave! I used a few Prima Flowers and a lot of brown half pearls...I even added a tiny one to Tilda's shoe. Just had to add a few butterflies with my new MS punch and I just love them cut from the QK cork material! I think my fave thing on this card (other than Tilda, of course) is the great satin ribbon that I had in my stash...such a pretty colour!
Thanks sooooo much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!
Have a stampin' great day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 29...Anything BUT a card...Just Chillin'!
Good morning, Krafty friends! I am back with my Kraftin Kimmie Stamps challenge creation! This week Krafty Girl, Elaine, has set the challenge and she is asking that we make anything BUT a card! If you join us and use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation then you will be entered into the random draw to win Florence that is featured on Elaine's fab bookmark!
Oh my, I found this to be a challenge!!! I am not so good at making all the gorgeous gifty creations that others make out there in blogland! I do so admire them though...I'm just not that creative to figure out how to make them! The only thing I use my Scor Pal for is to score the line down the middle of my 6x6 cards...how pathetic is that, lol! So, I did a little blog surfing and I found this adorable altered chewing gum package on Igne's blog Patterend Paper in her Tutorial/Ideas section! I thought I could tackle this one...not too daunting of a challenge, after all!
So the cute guy on the front of the package is Jack and he is from the new May Release of stamps that will be available in Kimmie's on-line store tomorrow!!!! The sentiment comes with Oliver from the winter Release. I thought it was an appropriate sentiment since I added some Dentyne Shiver gum and since Jack is such a cool dude chillin' at the beach!
Here is the inside...the "Summer Smiles" sentiment is from the new Beachy sentiments set that will be released tomorrow and "Just for YOU!" is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set!
So I hope you will consider giving this week's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge a try...if I can do it I know you can, smile!
Also, tomorrow is our Beachy Blog hop and I really hope you can join us and see some more fab cards from the Krafty Girls and the Jr. Krafty Girls with the new images and join the fun and all the new release images will be available in the on-line shop!!!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Hey friends! It is good to have a BasicGrey Challenges card to share with you this morning! This week the challenge is....Punch it! Yay, a nice and easy challenge for us, as, we all have some punches kickin' around in our craft room, I am sure! The BG DT has stunning creations to share with you and I'm sure you will want to join us when you hop on over to the BG Challenges blog and take a peek and all the inspiration! So, pull out your favourite BasicGrey stash and a punch or two and lets see your creations!!!
For my card I used my new Elizabeth Bell stamp from Bells n' Whistles Stamps. I just love this little girl lending a hand and doing the laundry...too cute! I had to get this stamp and a few others from Bell's n' Whistles when I saw the beautiful cards that my sweet friend Anki made with them!
Here is the inside....I used another MFT sentiment.

I stamped this sweetie on Neenah card with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and coloured her with my Copics. Then, cut the image out with my Oval Nesties and inked the background with Spun Sugar Distress ink using the Nestie die as a stencil. I pulled out my fave BG papers Lemonade...I know they are kinda "old" but I still love them to bits. I made my cardbase and matted with American Crafts cardstock. I used my EK success punch for the scalloped border and my new MS butterfly punch which I punched from QuicKutz adhesive Cork material. It's doesn't show up very well but I stamped stitches with my Kelly Panacci Stitches stamps with Distress ink in Worn Lipstick. I stamped the MFT sentiment on a QK tag and added a few Primas with gems and some more cotton lace from the dollar store!
Here is the inside....I used another MFT sentiment.
Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card this morning! I hope you can join us at BG Challenges! Come back later as I have my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge creation to share with you this morning too!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...May Release...Preview #2!
As promised I am back with another preview of the May release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! This month the release includes some super cute and stylin' beachy images by Annie Rodrigue for the Moonlight Whispers collection! Today my card features Florence...I'm pretty sure she is a movie star or famous or something like that!!!! She has it totally goin' on, don't ya think!?
So, since I already had my Daisy Bucket paper out on my table I decided to use these papers with Flo...I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out so I wouldn't cover up the pretty paper! I added some American Crafts ribbon and a big Prima flower with a Bazzill Brad in the centre. I used my Stix2 glue and brown metallic foil to "mirror" Florence's sunglasses! This sentiment actually comes with the stamp created featuring Annie's original painting, Perfect Poison!!! It will be available on Sunday, as well!
Here is the inside...the "celebrate summer" sentiment comes in the Beachy sentiments set and there are so many fabulously fun sentiments in this set that coordinate perfectly with the beachy images...it's a must have!
Thanks so much for stopping by again and having a wee peek! I hope you can come by again tomorrow as it is KKS Challenge day and I will have another new image to share with you! Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...May Release...Preview #1!
Hey Krafty friends! It's time for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps May release sneak peeks! This month Annie has created a fun release for the Moonlight Whisper collection of stamps, they are just "beachy"...I know you are going to love 'em! They will be available at the Kraftin' Kimmie online store on Sunday May 16th and we will have a big ol' "beachy" blog hop, as per usual, that day too, so mark it on your calendar!
The card I have to share with you today features my fave girlie in this release, Eleanor! I just think she is sooooooo adorable! Don't you just love her "old school' beach attire?! I sure do! I love her cute pose too!
I made my card base 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and I got to use up some old stash too! I thought this Daisy Bucket Designs paper was bright and fun for a beachy b-day card!
I picked up an Imaginisce Snag'em stamp at Micheals and it just so happened that this flourishy flower motif matched the flowers on Eleanor's bathing cap perfectly! I coloured the flowers with my Copics and paper pieced Elanor's swim suit with the Daisy Bucket paper! I cut out the image with my circle Nesties and left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. I added the requisite American Crafts ribbon and a little bling that all my cards seem to have,smile...the tag is a QK tag and the sentiment is from the Kimmie's Beach/Summer sentiments set that co-ordinate perfectly with the May release images.
Here is the inside....the sentiment it's a combination of the Beach/Summer sentiments in the new May Release and "birthday" is from the Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set!
Thanks so much for stopping by and come back tomorrow as I will have another sneak peek to share with you! Hop on over to the KKS Challenge blog and Kimmie will have a list with links to all the Krafty Girls previews! Don't forget that Saturday is our KKS Challenge day and the Krafty Girls will be sharing more previews and then Sunday is the big "beachy" blog hop...you don't want to miss the fun, now, do you?!
Have a Stampin' Great day, friends!
