Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 26...Lots of Flowers....Sweet Wishes!

Good Morning Krafty friends! It's time for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and this is a scheduled post so I hope you are reading it right now and that it worked...fingers crossed! This week Krafty Girl Andrea set the challenge and she would like to see lots of flowers on your card...a minimum of 3 and they can be layered! That is no problem for me!!! I love to pile on the Primas, he, he, he! I hope you get a chance to join the challenge and if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation you could be the lucky random winner of the ever so sweet image Swingin' Emmylou that Andrea has used on her creation this week!

For my card I used sweet Gabrielle...just love her. She is from the Tea Party Stamp Kit but you can get the Tea Party stamps individually now! I teamed her up with this yummy American crafts patterned paper and American Crafts cardstock and American Crafts ribbon...gee, do you think I might like American Crafts stuff...yeah, just a titch, eh?! I used this great Prima flower cuz I thought it looked like it's sprinkled with sweet sugar. This tea Party digi embellishment circle from the Shabby Shoppe was just perfect for this card and I love that it says tea and crumpets on it...yum...love crumpets, smile! I stamped the Kimmie's Tea Sentiments set with VersaMark ink and used American Crafts Zing White embossing powder...I just love having a white sentiment for a change and it is almost impossible to get a good impression with white ink so I love the AC Zing White embossing powder for this!
Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek! I really hope you get a chance to play along with this weeks challenge and pile on the flowers!

Whiff of Joy # 75...A Sketch by Bev & lots of flowers!

Good morning crafty friends! It's Wednesday and time again for the Whiff of Joy Challenge! This week we have a beautiful sketch designed by Bev and we have an added twist of April Showers bring May Flowers....so we would also like to see lots of flowers on your card! The WOJC DT has gorgeous creations for you so go take a peek and I hope you get a chance to join the challenge! I also want to let you know that I will MIA so I'll have my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge post scheduled for Saturday and I hope that it works as I don't always have good luck with scheduling posts in advance...so fingers crossed.smile! I won't be able to do any blog hopping or commenting but I will be back at blogging in about a week or so!

So for my card I used this scrumptious BoBunny paper called Jazmyne again! Sorry but I think you are going to be seeing a lot if it until it runs out, lol! I love the colours and the great patterns...lots of flowers on it...perfect for this weeks added element to the challenge! I also though with "April showers" where better to be than Shopping!!! So, I used Shopping Willow from the Whiff of Joy City Girls Collection! I love this Willow and I just love paper piecing her shopping bags. I stamped strategically on the patterned paper to avoid the glittery parts of the paper as it just made it easier to stamp and cut out.

I had to add some ribbon even though the sketch doesn't really call for it! I just can't seem to make a card without ribbon and lots of Prima flowers, with some dollar store roses and half pearls sprinkled here an there. For the sentiment I used my beloved Melissa Frances rub-ons and something that I love to do with them is cut them up and piece them together to suit my needs.

Here is the inside and I used my heart Nesties and again this sentiment was created with different cut up parts of the Melissa Frances rub-ons from different sheets.
Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge! I really hope you can join us as this sketch by Bev is just fab!!!
Hope you all have a great week and I will catch up with you all in a week or so!

Just Magnolia...Mina's Birthday Blog Hop Sketch...You're the Best!

I'm back to share the card that I snuck in today in between laundry! I received my Magnolia Spring StampClub kit yesterday and all the images are sooooo super duper adorable...I couldn't resist inking, at least one up! I went and checked out the challenge over at Just Magnolia and they are having a very special 1st Birthday blog hop challenge with fabulous blog candy by Simon Says Stamp!
Mina has designed a beautiful sketch to use for the challenge! I would like to congratulate Just Magnolia on a fabulous year of challenges and beautiful inspiration from the DT!!!

I picked up this gorgeous and glittery BoBunny paper called Jazmyne at Crop Circles in Peterborough and I knew it would be perfect for my card with Lady Tilda that came in my stampclub kit from the Fairytale Collection. I stamped her on Neneah Card and made a mask from a post-it-note and then stamped the Elegant Roses from the Raising the Ceiling Collection! I coloured the image with my Copics and used my oval Nesties and the out of the box technique to cut the image out! I left the image in my Nestie die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink.

I have had this Thank you charm on my desk for a while so I thought I would use it on this card since Just Magnolia has an optional twist of "Thank You" with the sketch for this challenge! I added some ribbon and sprinkled half pearls here and there. I added some Sakura Stardust pen for some extra glitter to the image.

The bottom of the Easel card has a Kelly Panacci stamp for the sentiment and I added a metal Tiara paper clip!
Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

New BasicGrey Challenges # 18 and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps # 25...Ruff Day?

Good Morning Krafty friends! I have to say that I am sooo sad this morning that I'm not with the Krafty Girls, Kimmie, Andrea and Melanie, attending ScrapFest! I was hopping to go but in the end I had to make the really tough decision to stay home...pooh! There is always next year! I know the girls are having a blast though and I can't wait to hear all about it and maybe see all the krafty goodies they get!

Well, I have combined my DT challenges into one card again this week...the challenges went so nicely together, I couldn't resist! Over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog Krafty Girl Melanie would like us to make one "For the Boys" and at BasicGrey Challenges we have this great colour combo........

For my card I made the 6x6 base from American Crafts cardstock and used the yellow paper is from June Bug and the Blue sheet is from Lime Ricky. I stamped this adorable Kraftin' Kimmie stamp called Gone Fishin' with Huck and Lady from the Crissy's Cuties Collection on Neenah card and coloured it with my Copics. I love this image so much! Lady reminds me of my dogs O'Sheen and Missy. They both have passed away now but I still think of them every time I see this image of Lady and have such fond memories. O'Sheen was an English Cocker Spaniel and Missy was half spaniel and half Irish Setter. Missy had such a lovely temperament and she was so pretty and looked like a miniature Irish setter....such a beauty she was! So, back to the card....I cut the image with my Nesties and sponged the sky with Smokey Sky Distress ink. I used a Making Memories Grommet and some white twill tape, twine and a QK tag for the Kimmie's Fun sentiment. The Rain Dots added to the water/beach theme.

Here is the inside of my card...I used another Kraftin' Kimmie Sentiment from the Kimmie's Coffee Sentiment set.

Thanks so much for popping by and a taking a look at my card! I hope you get some time to join the challenges that we have for you this week! The BG DT and the Krafty Girls have stunning creations to share and inspire...so go have a peek!

Happy Stampin' & Hugs,

I hope you can join us this week and I hope you can stop by the WOJ Challenge blog and see all the gorgeous creations the DT has made this week! Just remember there is only 1 rule and that is you must use a Whiff Of Joy image on your creation!

For my card I made the base 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and used papers from my Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Mini-Deck! For the colour challenge I decided to go with yellow and green + red! I used Strawberry Girl from the Spring/Easter Gnome collection illustrated by Norma Fickel. I stamped Strawberry Girl on Neenah card and coloured her with my Copics and used Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed Distress inks to ink the background.

I stamped the Bee Happy sentiment that comes with Mr. & Mrs Foxglove repeatedly on the twill tape with Lady Bug Memento ink and then on the image. I set an eyelet with my Crop-A-Dile and added the cute butterfly charm on the chain! I used 2 different EK Success border punches and some Prima flowers, gems and brads to finish of the card!

Here is the inside...I used another WOJ sentiment!

I distressed the edges of the pp with my Tim Holtz Distressing tool and then painted on the Picket Fence Crackle paint. I also inked the edges in Broken China and Vintage Photo Distress inks. I used my Kelly Panacci Stitches stamps and stamped in Broken China. Again, I used some velvet ribbon and cotton lace trim! The flowers are a combo of Shabby Chic Primas and dollar store flowers. I add the gorgeous hat pin, that my dear blogging friend Martine sent me in a package of goodies for my b-day and I sprinkeled blue half pearls here and there.

So for my card I have used the oh so regal, Guinevere, on my card! I just adore her and she comes with 2 sentiments "Your are the Queen" and "It's good to be Queen!". I stamped her on Neenah card and coloured her with my Copics, cut the image out with my Nesties. I left the image in the die and used it as a stencil and inked with Pumice Stone and Black Soot Distress inks to colour in the background.
Again, I have used Scenic Route pp and some red velvet ribbon and made my cardbase with white American Crafts cardstock! I have embellished with a few Primas layered with roses from the dollar store and I added a little Stickles for some shimmer to the flowers and Guinevere! I also encrusted her Crown with a little bling! The sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set and I again cut the image with Nestie tag and inked with Pumice Stone and Black Soot Distress Ink.

Here is the inside....I used one of the 2 sentiments that come with Guinevere and stamped it on Technique Tuesday FUNdamentals chipboard from the Swanky Frames set. Then Inked it the chipboard pieces with Barn Door and a touch of Black Soot Distress inks.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...April Release...Preview #2!

So as promised I am back again this morning with another preview card for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps April Release! Just a reminder that we are having a fabulously fun Krafty Blog Hop this Sunday April 11th, when all the new April stamps are released and available at the Kraftin' Kimmie on-line store! Tomorrow is our Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge day and we have a "little" krafty goodness to surprise you with tomorrow for the challenge!

So for my card I am featuring one of the gorgeous new images from the Moonlight Whispers collection by Krafty artist, Annie Rodrigue! This is Marie Antoinette and isn't she simply stunning! She is a blast to colour too! So, I'm on a bit of a Scenic Route, velvet ribbon and cotton lace trim, kick with my cards this week, smile! This paper just seemed to work sooo well with the images and I am loving the velvet ribbon and cotton lace trim combo too...kinda like when the kids had food jags...I'm having a craft supplies jag, lol!
I stamped Marie Antoinette on Neenah card and coloured her with my Copics then cut her out using the "Out of the Box Technique" with my Nesties. I used Tim Holtz Distress ink for the back ground in Mustard Seed. I also wanted the "pearls" in her hair to really pop so I applied a little Stix2 PVA glue with a tooth pick and then used White Stix2 transfer foil after the glue had dried. It gives it a little more dimension IRL! This sentiment and one other comes with Maire Antoinette...the nameplate is a QuicKutz 2x2 die and cut it from some co-ordinating Scenic Route pp. The fabric brad is by BasicGrey Origins and I popped off the blue gem that was on it and added the red gem.

Here is the inside....this sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set!
Thanks so much for stopping by again today! I will be back again tomorrow and I will have my Kraftin' Kimmie challenge card featuring another one of the new images from the April Release! I cut the image out with my Nesties and used a little Tattered Rose and Wild Honey to ink the background and used the Nestie die as a stencil.
I made my cardbase from brown American Crafts Damask cardstock and used Scenic Route pp that I have had in my stash for a while. To embellish, I used some brown velvet ribbon, Cotton lace trim and sheer ribbon tied into a buttony bow and then I sprinkled a few tiny buttons here and there. This sentiment comes with the image and I stamped it on a scrap of Scenic Route paper in Memento Rich Cocoa.

Whiff of Joy # 74...A sketch by Jane...My Sweet Friend!

Good morning crafty friends! I hope you all enjoyed the Easter weekend! I had Monday off work too and it was sooooo nice but it messed me up a little! I kept thinking it was Monday and not Tuesday all day long! Well, now it is Wednesday...I think I am clear on what day it is, smile...and that means it is WOJ Challenges Day! We had so many beautiful cards to look at from last weeks recipe challenge. Thank you so much for joining us and I hope you can join the fun this week as Jane has designed the most beautiful sketch! I just love it! I will definitely be using it again! If you are able to play along with us this week remember that the only rule is, you must use a Whiff of Joy image on your creation!

So here is my card I picked up this fabulous double sided Jillibean Soup paper at Crop Circles in Peterborough called Grandma's Christmas Soup...it is actually Christmas paper believe it or not! I loved it so much I decided to use it out of season. It made me think of home baked goods so I pulled out Willow with cookies to go along with it! I made my cardbase 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and matted with some brown Damask AC cardstock. I stamped Willow on Neenah card and coloured her with my Copics and cut the image out with my Rectangle Nesties. I left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress inks!

I am totally addicted to this great cotton lace trim that I found at the dollar store. It comes it several different widths and styles and I love this wide trim that I laced some thin brown satin ribbon through the holes! I added some Painterly Primas (my faves) and some buttons with twine and a sprinkling of pink half pearls. I cut the tab with a QK die from a scarp piece of Scenic Route paper and stamped the WOJ sentiment.

And here is the inside...I used another WOJ sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and having a peek at my card! I hope you get a chance to use Jane's beautiful sketch and to join us this week at Whiff of Joy Challenges! Go have a look at all the gorgeous creations by the WOJ DT too...they are sure to inspire you!
Have a stampin' great day!

New BasicGrey Challenges # 17 and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps # 23...If friends were flowers...!

Good morning Krafty friends! I hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend...my weekend has started off fabulously. Yesterday, Kraftin' Kimmie had to make a trip to Oshawa and she and Al were able to stop by my house and have a little visit with us before they headed home! It was so nice to see her and we had fun catching up and looking at vacation pics! It was a lovely visit, just not long enough though, so we will definitely have to do it again soon!
Well, today I have one card to share with you that I made for both the BasicGrey Challenge and Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Challenge! At BG Challenges we have a gorgeous sketch by Martine for you to use and over at KKS, Krafty girl, Jeanne, would like you to get "a little punchy" and use either punches or die cuts on your creation!

For my card I made the base 6x6 from American Crafts Cardstock and used BasicGrey Urban Prairie 6x6 paper pad. To embellish, I used this great cotton lace trim that I found at the dollar store, some dollar store gems and Prima flowers.

I used this gorgeous fairy image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, Daphne and sentiment, one of the new March images in the Crissy's Cuties collection. I coloured her in with my Copics and used Distress inks to ink the background...I used several Qk dies on this card...the curly leaf, nameplate, that the sentiment is stamped on and the butterfly, which I cut from QuicKutz clear plastic material and then covered in Glamour Dust and then added a few more gems.

Here is the inside...I used 2 sentiments from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment Set.
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! I hope you all have a very happy Easter and maybe you can squeeze in some krafty time and join us at BasicGrey Challenges and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge while you indulge in a little Chocolate too! Also, The Krafty Girls and BG DT have stunning creations this week, sure to inspire, so please go have a look-see!
Hugs,
