Whiff of Joy # 57, FS # 80, CCT # 88...Got Snow!

Hey! I'm back with another quick post to share this card that I made on the weekend! I thought I better post it or I might not make it in time to enter for the WoJ challenge! The challenge over at WoJ is to make a Christmas card well, this is kinda a winter card...I hope this counts! I used the fab sketch over at FS and the challenge at CCT is Snips, Snails and puppy dog tails...to make a card for a young boy!
I had about 7 coloured WoJ images left over from last year. So, I thought I would put them to good use and and whip up some cards with them. I cut some circles and a QK tag from Kraft cardstock and stamped the WoJ snowflakes randomly on the circles and tag. I added this cute little sentiment by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps it's from the Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments set.
Well, Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Just Magnolia # 33...A Sketch by Martine...Angel!

Hey! We had a great blog hop yesterday for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps December Release! Thanks for all the lovely comments! I pulled myself away from my scrapbooking room yesterday afternoon and Hannah and I picked up my very own personal hairstylist AKA my Mom and we went to her salon. I desperately needed my hair done!!! It feels so good to get the grey covered up (it was really bad) and a cut and style!!! I got the full treatment...blown dry and the flat iron and I was looking pretty spiffy, smile!
So, I made this card on Saturday with Martine's fabulous sketch over at the Just Magnolia Challenge blog. I stamped Tilda on ATS Copic Quality paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with my Copics. I used the out of the box technique with my Nesties. I left the image in the Nestie and sponged around the image with Antique Gold Metallic Rub-ons and sponged it around the papers too!

I am making all my Christmas cards with Prism Kraft cardstock and BG Eskimo Kisses pp. the tinsel trim with pink and green cord is something I have had in my stash for probably 8 years and it was just perfect for this card, smile! I guess it pays to hoard, lol! To finish it off, I cut the QK 2x2 tag and added the Melissa France rub-on, a few Prima flowers and lots of Stickles to Tilda.

Here is the inside!
Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! Hope you have a stampin' great day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #8...Touchy Feely...Thumbs up for Lola Da Vinci!!!!

Hello Krafty friends! I am back with another challenge and another preview for the December release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! This week one of our lovely and talented Krafty Artists, Crissy Armstrong, has set the challenge and I guess she is just a touchy feely kinda girl, smile! She would like us to vary the texture in our creations this week, hence the touchy feely part, smile! So, get out your embossing folders and distressing tool, your metal accents and fuzzy fibers and get krafting, smile!
For my card I picked the fabulously Krafty, Lola Da Vinci....she is a budding artist in her own right and I just think she is so super cute in her painter overalls! Lola is from the Moonlight Whispers collection and she comes with an accessory stamp. I coloured Lola with my Copics and cut the image out with my Nesties. I left the image in the Nestie to use it as a stencil and inked with Distress Inks.
I made my cardbase 6x6 from blue Bazzill Bling cardstock and used BG Lime Ricky 6x6 pp and brads. I cut the scalloped border with my QK 4x4 border die and Embossed them with QK Goosebumpz. I added some flowers with BG brads and cut the tag from a 2x2 QK die, then stamped the sentiment and embossed it with American Crafts white Zing embossing powder. This Sentiment is from the new Kimmie's Fun Phrases Sentiment set that will be released tomorrow!
Here is the inside...this sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday sentiment set.
Well, Thanks for stopping by and having another wee peek! I hope you can join us for this fun challenge that we have this week at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog!

New BasicGrey Challenges # 9...A sketch by Me!

Woo hoo!!!! It's the weekend!!! YAY!!!! That means it is crafty time and it's time for another challenge over at the BasicGrey Challenge blog! This week we have a sketch by little ol' me...YAY! I hope you can join us this week and we have some fabulous yummy candy up for grabs sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.
The sketch is rather simple but I think it makes a rather good looking card, if I do say so myself, smile! I am always so inspired by the creativity that abounds on the BG DT! WOW! All my BG teamies have all made such beautiful creations with this sketch and I hope you will check out all their creations...they are sure to inspire you too!!! I just have to point out Kim's cards...yes all 6 of them!!! She has demonstrated that this sketch works really well if you need to mass produce some cards...she made 6 gorgeous cards that I just absolutely love to bits...I think I'm going to have to "lift" her idea here!!!

So, here is the sketch! For my card I flipped the layout to fit my image and realigned the sentiment. I made my cardbase 6x6 from Bazzill Bling cardstock and used BG Bittersweet 6x6 pp, brads and the photo corner is from the Bittersweet Elements sticker sheet.

I needed a baby card so I pulled out my Baby Tingla stamp and Magnolia cloud stamp to create this scene. I have made this scene before and I always love how it turns out! I coloured Tingla with my Copics and pop-dotted her on the cloud. I added lots of Stickles to her wings and the clouds and cut out the image with my Nesties.
I used my Catslife Press stamp and cut the QK tag and added a Melissa Frances rub-on. The Ric Rac is American Crafts.

Here is the inside....the sentiment is a Kelly Panacci stamp.
Thanks for stopping by...I hope you can join us as I'm really looking forward to seeing all the creations with this sketch!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! Oh make sure to come back to see my Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges card and it's a preview for the December release!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Sneak Peek...You're Stuck With Me, Friend!

Hey Krafty friends!!!!! I am so glad that you could stop by today because I'm super excited to share a sneak peek of the December release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with you! In fact, all the Krafty Girls have previews to share!!! If you want to see a full listing of the previews head on over to Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog!

Well, Kimmie has out done herself again and so have the Krafty Artists, Crissy Armstrong and Annie Rodrigue. They have once again created fabulously cute and "twisted" images for us this release and we have a new artist joing the Krafty team! Jean Grant, has two really sweet and whimsical images that I just absolutely adore and I know you will too!

Today, I have used one of the new Annie Rodrigue images from the Moonlight Whispers collection! Please meet the oh so sweet and a little twisted, Drucilla! I absolutely fell in love with Drucilla and I just love the concept of a voodoo doll...how naughty...how fabulous!!! Drucilla also comes with an accessory stamp, Drucilla's locket, as do all the Moonlight Whisper images. The two sentiments sets that Kim is releasing with these new images are just so much fun and you will have the perfect sentiment to go with these new images and images from previous releases.

For my card I made the cardbase 6x6 with Bazzill Bling cardstock and used BG Eire and Eva 6x6 pp. I stamped Drucilla with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured her in with my Copic markers. I cut the image out with my Nesties and left it in the die to use as a stencil and inked the image with Distress inks. I added some Prima flowers, sheer ribbon and a few straight pins to finish it off!

Well, Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my sweet Drucilla...isn't she a cutie patootie and yes, just a wee bit twisted too!

Come back again tomorrow for another sneak peek and the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge!

Big Hugs,

A spoon Full of Sugar # 79 & Just Christmas and Birthday # 50...Best Birthday Wishes, friend!

Hey crafty friends...I was in need of another b-day card for a friend and so I went searching for a sketch or a challenge to inspire me! Well, I decided to play along with two challenges! They have a great colour combo challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar set by the uber talented Camilla! She would like you to use brown as your base colour with the option of either pink or blue! I went with pink and used my BG Porcelain 6x6 paper pad. I followed Nessy's sketch over at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards. I really like how my card turned out! This is really a great sketch and I'll definitely use it again!

I feel like I've been neglecting poor Tilda and so I pulled out this cute stamp that I haven't even inked up yet and stamped it on ATS Copic Quality paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics and cut her out.
I made my cardbase 6x6 from Prima Kraft cardstock and spritzed it with walnut ink and Perfect pearls mix and let it dry. I matted with brown Bazzill Basics cardstock and used these great new Prima flowers with brown BG Sugared brads. The big pink brad is American Crafts and so is this yummy ribbon....my fave! The border is a Just the Edge Bazzill cardstock borders. I cut the tags with 2x2 QK dies from kraft cardstock, added the Melissa Frances rub-ons and then spritzed with Walnut Ink and Perfect pearls powder mix!
Well, Thanks for dropping by and having a wee peek!
Hope you have a great day...oh...if you can, stop back again tomorrow cuz I'll have a sneak peek of the December release for Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and they are soooooo super cute and a little twisted too, smile!!!!

Look what I made....Crystal Ballz Santa!

Hey Crafty friends, I am back today to share this great new product that my bestest friend Dana got me hooked on. Maybe you have already seen Crystal Ballz but Dana showed it to me for the first time when I went to my friends house for the crop with all my crafty friends!
So I stamped off several of this great Santa image that she had and she gave me some of the double sided tape and a bag of Crystal Ballz that you can get from Class Act stamps and this is what I came up with. I can't tell you how super fast and easy this was to make and it looks very impressive IRL and you can't stop touching it either it is so smooth and lovely! This stuff is sooooooo cool...I just love it!!!!

So I coloured the image of Santa with my Copics trimmed it, inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress inks and applied the double sided adhesive tape that is crystal clear and is made to work with the Crystal Ballz. Then I sprinkled the Crystal Ballz over the whole image catching the excess in a coffee filter to use again. The Ballz are so tiny they just level themselves out, covering the whole image. It is that easy!

Here is a close up but this pic doesn't really do it justice...it's just so sparkly and pretty IRL! Well, I am off to make a phone call and get me some more Crystal Ballz, smile!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!
Hope you have a stampin' great day!

Just Magnolia # 32 & Friday Sketchers 79...Tilda says "I love Santa!!!"

I'm back with another card that I made yesterday! This one is for Just Magnolia and Friday Sketchers. I love this sketch that Jeannette designed it makes a great looking card quickly...definitely one to use again, especially when you need a card in a flash! the Challenge over at JM this week is Masking! So, I had a little riffle around and pulled out this sweet Tilda with Bell and the Magnolia snowflake background stamp Winter Jul07.

I stamped Tilda On ATS Copic Quality paper and then stamped her again on a yellow post-it-note and cut it out to make the mask. I then stamped the snowflake background stamp with brown Memento ink randomly. I coloured Tilda with my Copics and then cut them image out with my Nesties and left the image in the die and used it as a stencil and sponges with brown Metallic Rub-ons. I used a Sakura stardust pen to add some extra sparkle to the snowflakes. To add a little more interest to the card I sprinkled on some Polar White Flowersoft. The chipboard sentiment is a dollar store find and ribbon is American Crafts.
Well, there ya have it...another Christmas card for the "done" pile! Thanks for popping by again and having a wee peek!
Hugs,

Whiff of Joy # 56...Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies!

Well, I spent the day in my scrapbooking room yesterday and decided to play along with a few challenges instead of working on my DT stuff! Shame on me, I know but I couldn't resist this fabulous sketch that they have over at the Whiff Of Joy Challenge blog this week! It was also an opportunity to play with my poor, neglected, WOJ Winter Kit stamps.
I used this great Pink Paisless paper called Tinsel Town and I just absolutely love, love, love it! The colours are soooooo yummy! I made the cardbase 6x6 from some silvery Bazzill Bling and matted with pink Bazzill bling.
I stamped Willow on ATS cardstock and then masked her and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to align and stamp the sledge. I sponged the image using the Nestie die as a stencil with silver Metallic Rub-ons. Then I randomly stamped the sweet WOJ snowflakes. I just think the sentiment that came with the WOJ Winter stamps Kit is sooooo sweet...I had to use it on this card. I also used one of my CatsLife Press stamps. The ribbon is from my stash and I added a few gems to the centers of the snowflakes and shimmerized here and there with Angel Wings Shimmerz!

Here is the inside...I used another one of my WOJ sentiments for the inside.
Well, Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 7...Oliver and Olivia...Happy Winter & Have a Cool Yule!

Hey Krafty friends, It's time for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! So are you all set to be Krafty? Well, we have a great challenge for you this week set by Nana Diana! It's not too difficult and you'll have one more Christmas or Happy Winter card in the "done" pile! Can't beat that now, can ya!? Diana has used sweet Bernadette on her super sweet card so the lucky random winner of this week's challenge will receive Bernadette from Crissy's Cuties!
I had a great time at my friend Michelle's house last weekend and I made these two cards featuring Oliver and "Olivia", smile. I decided to make a very simple and easy to re-create sketch and used my fave MME Colourful Christmas pp and teamed it up with Prism Kraft cardstock for the base. I am going to use this basic scheme for all my Christmas cards this year! I loved using Oliver from Crissy's Cuties Collection...he is soooo super adorable, easy and fun to colour and I can change him into "Olivia" if need be, smile!
So, I stamped Oliver on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured him with my Copics. I cut the image with my Nesties and left the image inside the Nestie and inked it with Green Chalk ink. I added my fave ribbon American Crafts and used my new Nestie Snowflakes. I embossed the cardstock with my cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and then cut the snowflakes, Inked them and added a BG Brad. The sentiment is from Kimmie's Holiday Sentiment set and I stamped it on one of the cute die cut tags that came with the MME colourful Christmas paper pack.

Here is the inside...very simple as, I want to mass produce these so I didn't go too crazy on the inside, smile! The sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set.

For this card I turned Oliver into Olivia with a wave of my magic Copic marker, lol! Again, I cut her out with my Nesties, used the die as a stencil and sponged with pink Metallic rub-ons. For these snowflakes I embossed the cardstock with the snowflake Cuttlebug folder first. The sentiment is also from Kimmie's Holiday Sentiment set. Again I used my fave American Crafts ribbons and BG Brads for the snowflakes.

And once again here is the inside of the card!
Well, Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! Make sure you go and check out all the other Krafty Girls creations too...they are super duper fabulous! I hope you can join us this week for the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge blog!

Just Magnolia # 31...Celebrate!

I'm back....I had a great time stamping and making cards with my friends on the weekend. It was my friend, Michelle's B-day and we had yummy brownie cake and lots of fab food and chocolate, smile. It was so nice to get together and catch up! I wasn't as productive as I thought I would be but that was a little wishful thinking on my part as I always do way more chatting than crafting at crops, smile!
Well, I made this card for Michelle following Mina's great sketch over at Just Magnolia and used BasicGrey Lemonade and made the 6x6 cardbase from Bazzill Bling!

I stamped her on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured her with my Copics. I cut her out with my Nesties using the "out of the box" technique! I left the image in the Nestie and inked it with Distress inks...Antique Linen and Broken China. I added some yummy satin ribbon, Prima flowers with BG brads and shimmerized them!

Here is the inside...I was so glad that she loved it!
Well just a quick post tonight....thanks for stopping by to have a wee peek!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #6...What's New?

Hello Krafty friends! I'm back with my card for this week's challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge blog! This week we will have you...spinning right round, baby, right round...well, not really but the wild and krazy, krafty girl, Andrea would like to see you use circles and lots of 'em on your creation!!! But you can also sing the song too, if you want he, he, he! Andrea has used sweet Piper on her stunning card and so that is the Kandy the random winner will receive this week. Hope you can join us for the challenge, smile!
For my card I made the base 6x6 from Bazzill Bling cardstock and used this Fancy Pants pp from my stash. I've had it a while and not really cut into it...hording again, lol! Well, it has lots of circles in the pattern so I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. I stamped cutie Clara and her "tweet" friend from the Moonlight Whispers collection on ATS Copic Quality paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my fave, Copics!!!! I cut her out with my circle Nesties and cut a mat with the scalloped Nesties and my thinking is the scalloped edge is just a lot of half circles...do I get bonus points for that, he, he, he! I used my QK flowers to cut some felt flowers and added "circle" buttons for the centres and a few extra buttons here and there. I added some American Crafts ribbon to finish it off and the sentiment from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set and cut it out with my circle Nesties.
Thanks for stopping by and having another wee peek! Make sure you check out all the other Krafty girls' creations cuz they are just absolutely fab-u-lous. Looking forward to seeing your creations with lots and lots of circles!
Hugs,
