Merry Christmas crafty friends!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2010! I took today off work to clean the house and get a few last minute things done! Today is Chris' 47th b-day and my son's 8th b-day is on Monday so that makes this an extra busy time fo the year for us! We are having Kieran's birthday party on Sunday with all his friends at the Y to have a swim. I think it will be fun! I won't be doing too much blogging over the Christmas break as Hubby and I are going on little getaway over the holidays...I'll share pics when I get back!

Well, I have two more and final Christmas cards to share. This easel card is made with Kraft Prism cardstock and BG Eskimo Kisses 12X12 and 6X6 papers.

For this easel card I used the sketch #83 over at Friday Sketchers blog and again Eskimo Kisses papers again.

Lots of half pearls and Prima flowers with American Crafts ribbon.

Well, I hope you all enjoy a bit of break and have a great time with friends and family!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Friday Sketchers #82 & Just Magnolia # 35...Joy!

Well, I'm in a mad rush to get a few more Christmas cards made! I started this one yesterday morning and finished it after we returned from our visit to see Santa. What an ordeal, Now that Hannah is 10 and Kieran is soon to be 8... I'm looking forward to a time when we don't have to do that anymore. I know that sounds terrible but it was an awfully long wait...at least 2 hrs and I didn't like the system they used this year...we were all corralled into this waiting area and it was so crowded...well, I survived it all...so enough complaining, smile!

So, I made this card using the fab sketch over at Friday Sketchers Challenge blog and I am also entering this card over at Just Magnolia. The challenge is "It's Christmas"! I made this card for a dear friend and co-worker! I know she will love it because she is a big fan of my cards...she is so sweet!!!

I won't bore you with the deets as I am sure you can recite them with your eyes closed by now, lol! It is yet another easel card and I used BG Eskimo Kisses.

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Whiff of Joy # 59...Sparkle, Sparkle, Sparkle...Sweet Little Angel and more!

Hello crafty friends! I hope you are all of having a great weekend! I am just quickly posting these last minute cards that I have been making and wanted to share them with you before we go to see Santa at the Mall today!
I am entering these cards in the Whiff of Joy Challenge this week! The challenge is Sparkle, Sparkle, Sparkle and these cards do just that! I am just loving the WoJ Christmas Tree stamp and creating cute Christmas scenes with it! I needed a baby card so I thought I would make it do double duty as a Christmas card as well. So, I stamped Willow with Toddler on ATS Copic Quality paper and then masked her and stamped the Christmas tree. I then cut the image out with my Oval Nesties using the out of the Box technique! I coloured the image with my Copics and put it back in the oval Nestie to sponge with Distress inks.

I made yet another 6x6 easel card and used this great MME The Merry Days of Christmas paper kit that I am loving to bits. I used some sparkly American Crafts ribbon some pink half pearls and a SEI glazed brads in the Prima flowers. There is lots of sparkle to this card...maybe a bit too much...I might have over done the Stickles, lol! I grabbed the wrong bottle and used the burgundy Stickles on the flowers instead of the Christmas Red and I am not liking that so much but I don't think my friend will notice.

Well, I had stamped several of theses WoJ scenes and a few of them didn't quite turn out but I couldn't bare to chuck them. So, I cut them with my circle Nestie chopping of the part where I didn't get a good impression...that way I could salvage the image and not waste my paper. I made 2 more cards with these salvaged images.
This one is for Kieran's Special Education Resource Teacher. I thought this was a sweet image for her as she helps kids learn to read. I also think the sentiment is a bit of wishful thinking on my part. I wish Hannah and Kieran would get along as nicely as Willow and Oakley are here, lol!!!

This card I am going to send to the Psychologist that did Kieran's assessment.
I hope we don't' have to stand in a long line to see Santa as I have several more cards to make this afternoon...how terrible am I, lol?!
Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Friday Sketchers #81 & Just Magnolia # 34...Cards for Someone Special!

Good Morning crafty friends! I have a few cards to share with you that I made with the great sketch by Betrix over at Friday Sketchers and for the Just Magnolia Special Monthly Challenge! The special challenge is to make a card for someone special, smile! Well these are two cards for very special girlfriends!

Well, I finally made an Easel card and I absolutely love 'em!!! I don't know what took me so long to take the plunge, smile! I think I was a little intimidated but it is sooooo super easy and looks fabulous!

I made my cardbase 6x6 with Prism Kraft cardstock and used BG Eskimo Kisses 6x6 patterned paper. I stamped Unwrapped Tilda on ATS Copic Quality paper and made a mask and stamped the Magnolia Christmas Present with Bow. I coloured the image with my Copics and cut it out with my Nesties using the out of the box technique. I left the image in the Nestie and inked with Distress inks.I added the Melissa Frances Rub-ons, American Crafts ribbon, a few half pearls, some Prima flowers and Shimmerized Tilda to finish it off!

For this card I basically did the same as above I didn't mask here but I cut the image out using the out of the box technique.

I just love how these easel cards turned out...I hope the "special someones" who receives them will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! I will definitely be making more...hope you don't get sick of seeing easel cards and BG Eskimo Kisses, lol!!!

Sketch Saturday # 80....Peace on Earth!

There is a great sketch over at Sketch Saturday this week by the very talented Jeanette! I always love her sketches and this one is no exception and will be using it again for sure! I made this card before I went to see New Moon yesterday! The movies is soooo, soooo, sooooo good! I love it! I will have to go see it again though...I missed several key moments due to the giggling and pop-corn crunching of 7, 10 year old girls, lol! Now, I can't wait to see Eclipse!

I made my cardbase 6x6 with Prism Kraft cardstock and used this really great MME paper again! I stamped this sweet WoJ image, Willow reading a story, on ATS Copic Quality Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink! I made a mask from a yellow post-it-note and stamped the WoJ Christmas tree in the background. I love this stamp as Willow reminds me of my daughter Hannah...I think I will give this card to her teacher! I coloured the image with my Copics and inked around the image with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Scattered Straw, and Brushed Corduroy) with the Ranger Blending Tool and Foam Blending pads. I added lots of Stickles here and there to the tree and I used a Sakura Stardust pens too add some sparkly colour, as well. To finish it off, I added some yummy American Crafts ribbon, Prima flowers with SEI Chocolate Mint Glazed Brads and the Sentiment is from the Susana's Custom Art and Cards Special Edition Ornament Collection!

Whiff of Joy # 58...Merry Christmas!

Hello crafty friends! I am popping by today to share this card that I made with the great Sketch by Marga over at the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog! I having been dying to ink up and colour this sweet image of Oakley! He is just like our Kieran...soooooo cute!

I think I am going to give this card to Kieran's teacher, who has just been so wonderful and supportive thus far and I'll make another one for Dr. Greenwood! We received the psychological report back and Kieran does have a learning disability but just as I knew he scored average and above average in his intelligence and cognitive abilities but has a reading and writing disorder. I am glad to have this report because now we know what Kieran's strengths are and we can do things that will help him! The psychologist, Dr. Greenwood, was such a blessing and such a sweet man! I will miss having him come to the house for his visits to assess Kieran!

I saw a card that Fran made and thought it was brilliant so I lifted her idea and combined the WoJ Christmas tree stamp with Oakley! It looks like he is decorating the tree! I really like having the tree off of the edge of the image. It is a really big stamp and would have made the image too big.

I made the cardbase 6x6 Prism Kraft cardstock and used Bazzill Basics Cardstock to mat. I pulled out the MME paper pack the I got from Scrappin' Great Deals...I'm loving this paper! I stamped the tree and Oakley on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured it with my Copics. I left the image in the Nestie die after cutting it out and inked with Distress Inks...Antique Linen, Scattered Straw and Brushed Corduroy. I added lots of Stickles here and there, some American Krafts ribbon and Prima flowers with BG Glazed Brads. The sentiment is from the Susana's Custom Art and cards Special Edition Ornament Collection!

Well, Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! I'm going to New Moon this afternoon with Hannah and her friends for Rebecca's b-day party! I'm so looking forward to it!

Oh, I didn't get a chance to join the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge this week as it was a really busy week for me but the other Krafty Girls made fabulous gift card holders so go check out their creations and join the fun!

So, I pulled out Francesca and stamped her on ATS Copic Quality paper with Memento tuxedo black ink and coloured her with my Copics! Whiff of Joy # 57, FS # 80, CCT # 88...Got Snow!

Hey! I'm back with another quick post to share this card that I made on the weekend! I thought I better post it or I might not make it in time to enter for the WoJ challenge! The challenge over at WoJ is to make a Christmas card well, this is kinda a winter card...I hope this counts! I used the fab sketch over at FS and the challenge at CCT is Snips, Snails and puppy dog tails...to make a card for a young boy!
I had about 7 coloured WoJ images left over from last year. So, I thought I would put them to good use and and whip up some cards with them. I cut some circles and a QK tag from Kraft cardstock and stamped the WoJ snowflakes randomly on the circles and tag. I added this cute little sentiment by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps it's from the Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments set.

Just Magnolia # 33...A Sketch by Martine...Angel!

Hey! We had a great blog hop yesterday for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps December Release! Thanks for all the lovely comments! I pulled myself away from my scrapbooking room yesterday afternoon and Hannah and I picked up my very own personal hairstylist AKA my Mom and we went to her salon. I desperately needed my hair done!!! It feels so good to get the grey covered up (it was really bad) and a cut and style!!! I got the full treatment...blown dry and the flat iron and I was looking pretty spiffy, smile!
So, I made this card on Saturday with Martine's fabulous sketch over at the Just Magnolia Challenge blog. I stamped Tilda on ATS Copic Quality paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with my Copics. I used the out of the box technique with my Nesties. I left the image in the Nestie and sponged around the image with Antique Gold Metallic Rub-ons and sponged it around the papers too!

I am making all my Christmas cards with Prism Kraft cardstock and BG Eskimo Kisses pp. the tinsel trim with pink and green cord is something I have had in my stash for probably 8 years and it was just perfect for this card, smile! I guess it pays to hoard, lol! To finish it off, I cut the QK 2x2 tag and added the Melissa France rub-on, a few Prima flowers and lots of Stickles to Tilda.

Here is the inside!
Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! Hope you have a stampin' great day!
