High Hopes Challenge # 24 and Copic Colour Challenge # 6...A Hello from Me!

Oh, I wanted to show you this card that I made for the High Hopes challenge # 24 and Copic Colour Challenge #6. This is my first time joining in the High Hopes Challenge and I'm also sooooo excited to show you my fantastic new watermark made by BG challenges boss (smile), the super sweet and endlessly talented, Martine! She whipped this up for me today!!!! Now that is service, smile!!!! Thanks Martine!!!! I absolutely love it!!!!
I received these adorable High Hopes images from by blogging buddy and BG DT team member, Chris Dark! She sent me a stunning birthday card and RAK and it included a ton of fabulous images and several HH images. Chris noticed that I don't own any HH stamps! I know you are shocked and dismayed!!! I am too, considering they are a fabulous Canadian stamp Company! Well, I am on a stash diet at the mo, although I have fallen of the wagon a bit but I dusted myself off and go right back on now but as soon as it is over, I will definitely be making an order!
So, I coloured up, Lil' Show Girl and Show Horse, with my Copics using the colours from this week's Copic Colour Challenge! Blush R20, Brick Beige E31 and Shock Pink RV04 and I also used Tender Pink RV13, Dull Ivory E43, Chamois E35, Milky White E51, Eggshell E50 Skin White E 00, C-1 and C-3 Cool Grey. I also, used my new clear Spica pen that I got in my goodie bag at the Copic Certification class! The Spica pen is fabulous and actually has minuscule fragments of glass in it! That is what makes it twinkle!!!!
The Challenge over at the HH Challenge blog is set by the fabulous and talented Ila and is Creative Borders! So I used my new EK Success Scalloped Scallops and I embossed two lines with my Score-Pal and added the pink velvet RicRac American Craft ribbon!
I used BasicGrey Porcelain 6x6 paper pad, Bazzill Bling cardstock and Prism Kraft cardstock. I cut the HH Show Horse with my label Nesties and the tag too and the sentiment is a CC Designs Sugarplum sentiment set.
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee look!

Basic Grey Challenges # 28...Sketch...You're the Best!!!!

After all the excitement this week of attending the Copic Certification workshop in Toronto I started to come down with a cold or something!!! So, I just haven't been feeling so great but luckily enough I had most of my card for this week's BasicGrey challenge completed! This week Rica has designed a fabulous sketch for us to use! I loved working with it!
Well, I finally broke down and bought the 6X6 paper pad of Marrakech! When I first saw the papers, they didn't really appeal to me but now that I have used them I just love them!!!! For this card I thought I would make a "boy" card not my fave really, as, I like lots of girlie things on a card but I am quite happy with how it turned out and this Oakley is a sweetie!!!!
I stamped Oakley with Slipover from the WOJ Spring Stampclub set on Georgia Pacific paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and made a mask with a post it note and then stamped the WOJ tree stump for him to sit on. I cut out the image with my Label One Nesties and coloured it with my Copics. I did go back and add a colouring technique that I learned at the Copic Certification class! I used the B00 Copic marker and added the background around Oakley using a flicking motion of the marker at the end of the stroke. Then used my Colourless marker to soften the edges and fade it out to white. It didn't turn out too badly (hubby said it looked good) but I still need to practice this some more!
I used my new EK Success border Punch and added a strip of green velvet Ric Rac American Craft ribbon! I just couldn't resist a few flowers on this boy card, so, I picked a few Primas to match and instead of adding a brad in the centre, I used these flower piston thingies (yes, that is the technical name for them, lol) from my stash! I didn't have one that matched the blue flower so I coloured a cream flower piston with my Sky blue Copic. I then added a little crystal Stickels!
I used my new Nesties tags and stamped the CC designs sentiment on it and added it it to the card with a BG Wassail brad.
Well, there you have! The other BG designers have some rally stunning creations using Rica's fab sketch! I hope you can join us this week at BasicGrey Challenges! Come on! Who doesn't love a fab sketch and fab BG papers, lol?!!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee look and I will have another post today all about the fabulous time I had at the Copic Certification Workshop!
Hugs,

Copic Certification Class update!!!

Well, I had another busy week! I know I keep saying that in every post but this week was extra busy but extra fun!

Monday night Chris and I packed up the kidos, with over-night bags, backpacks and lunches and took them to my Mom and Dad's to sleep over, so, that my Dad could take them to school the next day because I was going to have an early start!!!
Tuesday morning, I got up at 6:00 a.m. got ready, stopped at Timmie's for my requisite coffee, and "Jill", my handy dandy GPS, and I hit the 401, west to Brampton (just west of Toronto) for the Copic Certification workshop. I was worried that I would get stuck in traffic and be late for the class but traffic was moving well and I arrived in plenty of time to stop for another coffee and headed on into the conference room of the hotel.
As, soon as I walked in I spotted my good blogging and stampin' sistah Kimmie from Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner! She already warned me that she is a hugger so I was prepared for a big warm hello, smile! Kim, is just as I had known her to be in blogland, super sweet, oh soooo FUNNY, down to earth and just a genuine good soul!!!! Love that!!! We hit it off IRL just as we had in blogland! I also, met Kimmie's good friend Andrea and she is a sweetie too and has a great sense of humour!!! We hope to meet up again and hang out for longer time stampin' and yakkin'!!!!!

Then I found a seat, but little did I know that, I was going to be sitting with a group of super duper talented and super sweet ladies! I had the privilege of sitting next to Kerry, from Cards by Kerry! What a great gal and soooo talented! She is in the running for MFT idol on Splitcoast stampers in the MFT forum!!! Go check it out and I know when you see her stunning creations you will vote for Kerry, smile! I had the great privilege of seeing the counting book up close and it is even more gorgeous IRL!!!

Then to my right I was seated next to the very talented Julia Stainton! Such a soft spoken, sweet lady...just oozing with talent and kindness! She is also the mother of 5 children and I don't know how she does all the fabulous papercrafting and Design for Cornish Heritage Farms, all the while, raising 5 kids, but she does...see, super talented people!!!! Well, go check out her blog, Belle Papier, her creations are super stunning and I just love her style! I sat next to her and watched her colour this CHF image for this stunning card! All I can say is....WOW!!!!!

Then to top it all off, I was lucky enough to be seated at the same table as Sherrie Siemens! Sherrie is on the Copic Design Team and Designs for Cornish Heritage Farms. She is now the Canadian Certification teacher and was Co-teaching with Marianne walker, Copic product specialist! So, I have been stocking Sherrie's blog Card Creme for a long time. I think since I started buying Copics, many of the techniques for colouring with Copics, I've learned from Sherrie's fabulous blog and video tutorials. She was so inspiring! Sherrie uses Copics to colour on so many different surfaces not just paper and buys all her embellies, like flowers and gems, in white and uses her Copic Airbrush System to colour them to match her project!

Well, what a fabulous day!!!! I learned so much from Marianne, who did a fabulous job teaching the workshop and Sherrie too! I also, learned so much from Kerry and Julia and had a great day and had so much fun at lunch with Kimmie, Kerry, Andrea and Amy and I also want to give a shout out to Amy *wave* another great stamping, blogging, crafty, Canadian gal that I met!!!!

Well, it was a fabulous time but my drive home wasn't so great! The traffic was bad but it was worth it! When I got home I showed my hubby and kidos my lovely certificate and all the great goodies that we got and I have now proudly added the Certified Copic Designer badge to blog...YAY!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dottie's World Sunday Challenge...Twice as Nice by Adele...Time for a Mani-pedi, Cutie!!!

This week at Dottie's world Challenge blog, Adele, has set the challenge and it is.......
Twice as Nice!!!! "I want your creations to include two or more of the Charmed Download images, mix and match, resize, whatever you fancy but I need to see two images."

So, for my card I decided to use my Holly and Madison download images from Charmed Cards and Crafts! I am just loving the World Tour images designed by Louise! So, for this card you need to use your imagination a bit and pretend that Madison is really Holly, lol!!!!
I'm really getting sick of winter and being all bundled up! The other day I had one of those, "Note-to-Self-moments" and thought, I really should book an appointment with the Esthetician, ASAP! Once, spring is here and I shed my tuque, winter parka, and Ugs, God only knows, what is lurking underneath all the gear I have been wearing for the last 6 months, lol!!!! Yes, 6 months we have long winters here in Canda, smile!!!!
So, I cut a 6x6 cardbase from Bazzill Bling cardstock and used some Kelly Panacci pp that I have had in my stash for a while now! I stamped a Fancy Pants flourish stamp on the pp with chalk ink!

I printed Madison in the Mountains and Holly on the Beach. I resized Holly to make her a little smaller and printed her on Georgia Pacific paper that I had cut into a thought bubble shape on my Silhouette! So, this is where you have to use your imagination and pretend Madison is really Holly with her hair tucked up under her tuque and she is envisioning herself at the beach!!!!

I coloured both images with my Copics and used a little Metallic Rub-ons around Holly on the thought bubble! The sentiment is computer generated and I inked the edges and added lots of Glamour Dust. I just discovered Glamour Dust recently and love it!!! Unfortunately, it doesn't really show up to well!
So, there you have it! Now, I really need to go give, Meridith, my Esthetician, a call and see if she can pencil me in for a Mani-Pedi,lol!
Hope you have a great week and hope that you can join us at Dottie's World Challenge and make your creation Twice as Nice! Thanks for stopping by and having a wee look!

Hugs,

Basic Grey Challenges # 27...Texture...Love is Spoken Here!

Hey! I hope everyone had a great week! Mine was a busy, as usual, and I'm glad that the weekend is here! I am sure you all are too! Spring is seemingly peeping through here in Ontario, Canada. We have had a few days this week with warmer temps and the sun has been shining, which, is sooo nice after a long, cold, snowy winter! But we will probably get one more snow fall before winter truly loosens her grip on us! I remember it snowed in April last year, so, I won't get my hopes up too high that spring is here to stay!
Well, it is time for another challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges blog and this week the challenge is to use Texture! There are so many different ways to add texture and Martine gives some great examples to get the creative juices flowing over at the BG blog! The BG DT also have great inspiration and show so many fabulous ways to add a little or a lot of texture to your creation!!! Make sure you check out their designs. They are all sooooo fabulous!!!! Well, I hope you can join us, Just remember, to use at least one BasicGrey product on your creation!

For my card I made a base, 6X6, from Kraft cardstock and used BG Bittersweet 6x6 pp pad! I stamped Tilda with Apple Pie on Georgia Pacific paper and coloured her with Copcis and Twinkling H2Os and added lots of Stickels to her for a little extra sparkle!

To achieve texture, I embossed one of the squares with the Hearts Cuttlebug embossing folder and sanded it to get a distressed, roughed-up, look! I used some of my new cork QuicKutz Adhesive materials to also add texture and cut the cork borders with the QK 4x4 border die. I added two different velvet ribbons and cut the QK Peace heart out of the QK Adhesive double-sided chipboard. It isn't that thick, so, I doubled it up and then cut the same shape in the pp that I embossed with the heart embossing folder and stuck it to the adhesive side of the chipboard, then inked and sanded it. I used several QK hearts and my favourite QK tag, added two BG Bittersweet brads and the sentiment, a Melissa Frances rub-on!

Well, I hope you can get some time this weekend to play with your stamps and pretty paper and I hope you join in this week's challenge at BasicGrey Challenges!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Tilda, my wee Irish Colleen....Happy St. Patrick's Day, Crafty Friends!!!!!

Just a quick post here to wish everyone of my blog followers and crafty blogging friends around the world a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!!!
I made this card really quickly yesterday evening while watching Dancing with the Stars!!!! I just wanted to post it here for all of my visitors to let you know I'm so lucky to have "meet" many wonderful crafty bloggers and I have received so may kind and supportive comments and I really appreciate all your kind words of support and encouragement!!!!!
I hope you have a wonderful day and get to celebrate today with a pint or two,he,he,he!!!!

Edit: In my haste to get this posted and out the door this morning, I forgot to mention, that I'm entering this card in challenge # 7 over at the Colour Create Challenge blog! The colour combo is red and green!!!!

I was inspired by this beautiful ribbon (the picture doesn't do it justice really) that I picked up at Micheals. I love the basket weave pattern of the ribbon and the sheen...fabulous! I made my card base 6X6 out of white Dotted Swiss Bazzill cardstock! I cut the shamrock border on my Silhouette and tucked a few extra shamrocks in and around Tilda and pop-dotted her. The papers are a mix of My Mind's Eye, Bohemia Collection and Scenic Route. The sentiment I typed up on my computer and printed it on Bazzill cardstock.
This is my favourite Tilda right now. I think she is called Sweetheart Tilda and she is just that, a sweetheart....I think she looks sooooo Irish too, smile! I stamped her on Georgia Pacific paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics and Twinkling H2Os. I wanted her hair to be dark brown, like mine, something, I don't usually do, as, I am not that good at colouring the hair dark. I think it it is easier just to make her a blond, smile! I used my Maroon Copic marker and I really love the warm reddish brown that it turned out! Tilda's slouchy socks remind of my Irish dancing socks that I use to wear...I think Tilda just kicked off her hard shoes to rest her weary feet after doing a jig or two, lol!!!!
Well, there you have it! I am quite happy with how this card turned out! Hannah and Kieran are on March break this week. I'm taking my Dad to the train so he can head into Toronto to celebrate St.Patrick's day! I am sure that he will be wearing green when I pick him up,lol!!!! I think he might even have his funny hat on, so, I will take a pic and maybe post it for you to all see my crazy Irish Dad,lol!!!!
Well, I better get a move on, got to get my Dad to his train and get to work!!!!!

Hope you all have a very
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

CCT #43....Spring, Flutter, blossom, twirl, grow...Celebration!

Happy Blogaversary Cute Card Thursday!!!!! If my memory serves me well, my very first venture into the whole challenge blog scene was with Cute Card Thursday!!!! It was so much fun that I have become quite addicted to blog challenges!!! CCT is still one of my all time favourite challenge blogs! They always have great challenges, the DT is fabulous and I'm always so inspired to join in and make a cute card!!!!

Well, I couldn't pass up this week's challenge to make a celebration card with Katharina's fabulous sketch! She is, undeniably, the the Queen of the sketch pad, that is for sure! Her sketches are always so fabulous to work with and versatile too! This one is no exception...I just loved it and will definitely use it again!

Well, when I saw this scrumptious, yummy, deliciously adorable, Imaginisce Twitterpated paper the wheels started turning so I snatched it up! I knew I wanted to use this WOJ image, Willow with Sun Hat and Easter basket! I cut the tag and mat on my Silhouette and stamped Willow with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and then masked her and stamped the basket! I coloured the image with Copics and Twinkling H2Os and then sponged around edges with Metallic Rub-Ons and added the Melissa Frances rub-on for the sentiment!

I made the card base 6X6 from white Bazzill Dotted Swiss cardstock and cut the Imaginisce paper into a circle with my Nesties and cut the frame with the Nesties too! I used American Craft ribbon and a few QK flourishes and rhinestones for embellies but the thing that I'm so super duper happy with are two new products that I just got and love!!!!

First, Nicky, from Stamping Bella, told be about Glamour Dust and now I am totally addicted!!! This stuff is so super fabulous and sparkly! I just use my Sakura Quickie glue pen and then sprinkle the glamour dust on...FAB-U-LOUS! Thanks Nicky!!!! *Wave*!!! Then I picked up some of the new QK Adhesive Materials! I used my QK butterfly dies to cut the clear plastic Adhesive Material sheet and then I Glamour Dusted them...YAY!!!!! The glamour dust stuck to the adhesive backing of the clear plastic material! There is so many possibilities for both glamour dust and the different Qk Adhesive Materials! The only bummer with the QK materials is that its not for use with the Silhouette, which I was sooooo hoping it would be, but I still love it and looking forward to playing with it some more!

Here you can see the middle part of the butterfly die is the QK Clear Plastic Adhesive Material and it is all sparkly with Glamour Dust!!!!

So there you have it!!! I am quite happy with this card and it was a ton of fun to make!!!!

Happy Blogaversary Cute Card Thursday...wishing you many many more happy challenges!!!!

Hugs,

Dottie's World Sunday Challenge...Sketch by Karen...Beat the Heat!!!

WOW, this weekend is just flying by!!!! I was very productive in terms of card making yesterday but not so productive in terms of cleaning my house and dealing with the laundry, yikes! I think that is on the plans for today, that, and laundry, sigh!

But if you would rather make a card than do housework and laundry then you are in luck!!! Karen has a fabulous sketch for you over at the Dottie's World blog!

I really loved this sketch that Karen designed! Go check out the challenge here then you just have to make sure you have a downloaded image from Charmed Cards & crafts on your card and you are good to go!

For my card I used this pretty Daisy Bucket Designs paper called Playful Petals and Core'dinations cardstock! The border is a QK Silhouette digital design that I cut from the Core'dinations cardstock and mounted on foam dots. I had a few of the die cut flowers left over so I used them for the accent grouping at the top! The ribbon is American Craft and the sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on.
Holly was printed on Georgia Pacific paper and coloured with Copic markers! I matted the image on the Core'dinations cardstock and ruffed up the edges with my Tim Holtz edge distressing tool. I sponged around the image with Matellic Rub-Ons and I added a bit of Stickles to Holly and the die cut flowers!
Well, I wish I could switch spots with Holly and she could do my laundry for me and I will lounge on the beach! Do you think she would go for it?! Well, a girl can daydream can't she, lol?!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! Now, don't forget to go to Dottie's World blog and see the fabulous creations the DW gals of made and then join us!

Basic Grey Challenges # 26...Oh Happy Day!!! New KETTO stamp!!!

Time for another Basic Grey Challenge! So, I hope you are ready to join us again! This week the Challenge is to have all round corners on your card!!! So, go blow the dust of those corner rounders and let's get busy, lol!!!

Now, if you are feeling a little stuck (like I was with this challenge) then go have a look at the fabulous creations by my fellow BG DT members! I am sure after you see all the great cards you will be raring to go!

Now, I am not only excited that it is the weekend and that it is time for another BG Challenge but I am so super duper psyched to show you this card featuring one of the brand spankin' new KETTO stamps by Stamping Bella!!! Woohoo!!!
This is Agnes KETTO!!! Isn't she just adorable! Well, I have to tell you, they ALL are and they are a little smaller than some of my other stamps but a real treat to colour and so quick too...I like that...really handy when you want to make a quick card!!!
So, I stamped Agnes on Georgia Pacific paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics, Twinkling H2Os and Shimmerz on her wings! Unfortunately, you can't see all the Shimmerz and Sakura Stardust glitter pen on her but she is very sparkly IRL!!!!
The card base is cut from Bazzill Kraft cardstock! I ran it through the cuttlebug with the Swiss dots embossing folder, rounded the corners and inked the edges with Colourbox Chestnut Roan ink (my fave ink for this)! I used BG Porcelain papers and there are some really great patterns in this 6X6 pad...love it!!!!!
I rounded the corners of the pp too and added some ribbon, cut the scalloped edges with my, Stampin' Up! scalloped border punch, and layered them. Cut Agnes out with my circle Nesties and cut the cardstock ring with the Nesties as well. The sentiment is from Stamping Bella too and I stamped it directly on the patterned paper! To finish it off I add a few Prima flowers and rhinestones accents from the dollar store!
hope you can join in the challenge this week! I am look forward to seeing what you come up with! Remember to go check out the other BG DT blogs to see their fabulous creations!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Some awards and CCT # 50...Wine and Dine...Oh, Tilda!!! What a messy girl, giggle!!!

My, oh, my!!! Just look what Tilda has gotten into, giggle!!!
Ok...this was my hubby's idea! He actually suggested it a couple of weeks ago for another card but I didn't use it then. I just tucked this little tid bit in the back of my head for later use. Now, I hope she doesn't look too ridiculous with "chocolate" all over her face?! I thought it was kinda fun! Wadda ya think!? I just know, Hannah, is going to ask me how she is eating when she doesn't even have a mouth, lol!
Well, March is a busy birthday month! I have several cards to make and I thought I would share these two cute cards. They are basically the same but I flipped the layout a little and alternated the colours that I used to coloured Tilda dress and the ribbon etc.! I am quite happy with them and when I saw that they fit with this weeks' challenge...Wine and Dine...over at Cute Card Thursday , I couldn't pass it up and decided to enter them!
I made my cardbase with American Craft embossed cardstock and used Pink Paislee Pop Fashion again...I am totally in love with this paper!!!! I used my Label One Nesties to cut and emboss the different pieces and everything is pop-dotted.

I stamped Tilda and the muffin on Georgia Pacific paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and made a mask of Tilda on yellow post it note paper and then stamped the ribbon for her to sit on!!! I coloured everything with my Copics and Twinkling H2os and added some Stickles for a little extra bling!!!

The sentiment is a digital download from the Cutting Cafe. I added the little gem butterfly that I got the dollar store and some MM gemstone brads to the centres of the Prima flowers. Oh, there is some Fuchsia Satan ribbon on there too. I sponged some silver Metallic Rub-ons around the edges to bring out the embossing on the cardstock.

Here is the inside sentiment from The Cutting Cafe and a few more gems from the dollar store!
~Now for some awards!!!!!!~

I received some lovely awards over the last few weeks from Georgia, Judy and Sandra. Thanks so much ladies and young lady, smile!!!! I really appreciate them.

I will pass this friendship award from Georgia on to all my followers!!!!

I received this award from Judy and Sandra! Two uber talented ladies...love your blogs' so much!!! Thanks so much for this fabulous award!!!! I pass it back to both of you, smile!

Big hugs,

Dottie's World Sunday Challenge....Get the feeling...Country Chic!

Howdy! Today is my first official DT card for the Dottie's World Challenge blog! The challenge this week is "get the feeling"! So, Nicola would like to see fabric incorporated into your design. It can be ribbon, felt, lace cotton etc. etc. So, print of one of your downloaded images from Charmed Cards & Crafts and giddy up, partner!
I decided I would use Holly in the USA! Isn't she fab! I thought this Making Memories Sabrina pp would be perfect! I liked the juxtaposition of the the chic paper against Holly in her country attire...Country Chic, lol!!!! I went looking on-line for some sentiments and found this quote in the pea soup at 2peas, (one of my favourite scrapbooking websites)!!!
So, I am not really into line dancing, myself, but I thought this would make a cute card for a "girls night out" invite. I think the closest I get to line dancing is doing The Slosh with my Mom at weddings, lol! Does that count? he, he, he! So,
I made my cardbase 6x6 with Bazzill pink Bling cardstock and the Making Memories Sabrina 6x6 pad! I printed Holly on Georgia Pacific paper and coloured her with my Copic markers. I cut her out with my Curvy Nesties and sponged around the edges with Metallic Rub-ons!
So, to "get the feeling" on this card,I use black velvet ribbon, Prima fabric flowers mixed with some matching MM Sabrina flowers. I cut the QK photo Corner out of a Technique Tuesday Textile circle and inked the edges. The flowers are set with co-ordinating MM Sabrina brads. I added a little Stickles for a little bling!!!
Well, there you have it my first Dottie's World DT card! I hope y'all like it,he, he, he!? So, go have a look at all the other fab cards the DT has in created for you and then join us!!!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee look!

I went right over to Katharina's blog and I couldn't believe what I was reading!!!

Basic Grey Challenges # 25....a sketch....Irish eyes....

Oh, I'm soooooo glad it is the weekend!!! Aren't you!? This has been a crazy week for me!!! I had two DT projects to do...I know my pal, Kraftin' Kimmie, is probably giggling at me cuz she has a quadrillion DT's on the go and does it so effortlessly. She doesn't even break a sweat, he he he!!! Then everyone has been sick or is getting sick!!! I haven't been feeling that great but it just keeps lingering and doesn't really turn into anything much! Yesterday, my poor Ol' Da was under the weather and he just doesn't do sick well. Then, my hubby, Chris caught a terrible cold too. So, that is the crazy week I have been having.

So, I'm glad to stamp and play with my pretty paper later today and tomorrow! I am just doing up this post quickly now, as, Kieran, has his First Reconciliation this morning....Oh, yes, yet another stressor! That kid is going to be the next, Jim Carrey, I tell ya or the death of me what ever comes first, lol! He is always asking the tough questions but in a jokey funny, crack-your-mom-up-when-she-is-trying-to-be-all-serious, kinda way! It was so much easier doing Hannah's First Communion. Ahhhh...boys....God love em'!!!!

So, this week over at the BasicGrey Challenges blog, Martine, has designed another fab sketch! I know you are going to love it! I did!

For my card I thought I would make a St. Patrick's day card! I picked this fabulous WOJ image, Willow with Flowers, and I imagined her picking a bunch of wild shamrock in a Meadow in Ireland. Perhaps, on the Hill of Tara. Now, I'm not sure wild shamrock actually grows on the Hill of Tara but that is what I imagined, lol!

My Fall Accessories stamps came in the mail at the beginning of the week. So, I stamped Willow with Flowers on Georgia Pacific paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink. Then I stamped her on a yellow post it note again and cut it out to make a mask and stamped the Fall grass and flower stamp over top. I coloured the image with Copics and Twinkling H2o's and used Metallic Rub-ons around the edges of the image.

For the card I made a 6x6 base from green Bazzil cardstock and used a few sheet of BG Porcelain 12X12 paper, as, the 6x6 pad hadn't arrived yet but I got my hands on it now, smile! I flipped the sketch as my card just looked better that way especially with the big bow and I printed the sentiment on my computer and cut it out with the ribbon nameplate Nesties. I added the green satin ribbon and a few crystals and it was done!

Well, I just adored the sketch but I am not sure I am loving what I did with it. Ah, it is kinda growing on me though, smile!

Well, I better go get ready and wake that little monkey of mine, to do his First Reconciliation...oh goodness, I just hope it all goes well and he doesn't say anything too outrageous, smile.

Have a great weekend and I hope you play along with us at BG Challenges!

Hugs,

FS# 41 & Copic Colour Challenge # 2....Some Exciting News....Hello Holly!

Hey!!! I am so happy to play along with Friday Sketchers this week! It's been a few weeks since I've joined the fun that is FS and I was starting to get the shakes, lol! That is what happens when I don't get my FS fix, smile!!! I followed Kristine's awesome sketch and teamed this sketch up with the Copic Colour Challenge and I'm sooooo super psyched about this new challenge blog cuz I love my Copics. I had a blast playing along! What a fabulous colour combo this week :
B02 - Robin's Egg Blue
R05 - Salmon Red
YG23 - New Leaf

Now, I know I teased you bit with some exciting news! Can you guess what it is!? Yes, it is about a DT and yes, it has to do with lovely Holly from, Holly & Madison fame, featured on my card today!!!! Oh, Okay, I won't keep you waiting any longer!
YAY,!!! I have had one exciting weekend!!!! Karen and Louise asked me to be on the Dottie's World Challenge DT. Karen, the lovely owner of, Charmed Cards & Crafts sent me a very kind e-mail and asked if I would join the team! WOWZERS!!!! Well, I was so thrilled cuz Charmed Cards & Crafts is where you can get Dottie & George, Holly & Madison and Girls About Town images! All super fabulous printable digi-images! So, how could I not jump at this amazing opportunity!!!! Thanks Karen!

Well, I had to print some images ASAP and get colouring. I picked Holly in the Garden! I just love the Holly & Madison images! Of Course, I coloured her with my Copics and added a bit of Stickles for some bling-i-tude! You can never have enough bling...even while gardening, smile! I sponged around the image with my fave Metallic Rub-ons!
Today, I really worked my Colourless marker to lighten up spots and I didn't use any white acrylic paint for highlights, just for a change! I am quite happy with how it turned out and I hope to get some more fab tips when I attend the Copic Certification class in a few weeks! So Looking forward to it!!!

I made my card base 6X6 out some yummy Bazzill bling that I just picked up on Friday at the LSS and it was a perfect match to Salmon Red Copic, yay! I used the Daisey D's paper that I have had in my stash, forever (just love this paper) and I have the co-ordinating cardstock elements so I used the tag and the bracket! All the stitching is faux...used my Kelly Panacci Stitches stamps again and Tim Holtz Corduroy Brown Distress ink! Both sentiment stamps are Kelly Panacci stamps and I stamped them with Memento Rich Coco.
Here are all the colours that I used...not a great pic, I know, can't read all the names and I put them all away before I wrote the names down, darn! Won't do that again, smile!!!
Well, there you have it! Lots of excitement this weekend more than I can bare really, lol! Think I better go make a tea and try to pull myself together,he, he, he!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!
Hugs,
